UFC 208 Betting Multi
UFC 208 is this Sunday. While some of the bigger fights on the main card might be a bit tough to pick, we think there is some value to be found earlier in the day. We’ve got you covered with a 5-leg multi involving fights throughout the day here.
Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza vs Tim Boetsch
I’m confident of an early finish in this fight. Tim Boetsch is not known for his defensive grappling and Jacare is a wizard on the ground. Couple that with Boetsch being a one-dimensional power puncher who usually get his wins quickly and brutally; and I’m really happy to get on the under 2.5 rounds.
Glover Texeria vs Jared Cannonier
Cannonier is an interesting prospect in a shallow light heavyweight division. He has excellent power, but some good footwork and boxing fundamentals to compliment it. However, at this stage of his career he has not shown anything to suggest he is on the level of Texeria. Unless Cannonier is much better than I think or Texeria is a shell of himself; I predict a comfortable win for the Brazilian former title contender.
Dustin Porier vs Jim Miller
Porirer is a consistently improving fighter trying to break in to the division’s upper echelon. He fell short last time out against Michael Johnson, but if he wants to establish himself in the top 5 he has to make easy work of this quality opponent. Miller has had an excellent UFC career, but at this stage he doesn’t have the ability to compete with the likes of Poirier.
Randy Brown vs Belal Muhammad
Muhammad was a highly touted prospect when he entered the UFC as TITAN champion. Two losses in his first three fights tempered the excitement. Brown was another regional promotion champion with RING OF COMBAT, but his UFC run has got off to a more impressive start. Muhammad is also taking this one on short notice, which is never a good sign. I’m picking the 6’3 welterweight, Brown to get it done.
Islam Makhachev vs Nick Lentz
Makhachev is another one of these Sambo combat masters who are coming in and making a big splash in the UFC from Russia. Makhachev has very good technical boxing to go along with his body slams, but was KOed by Adriano Martin. Nick Lentz is pretty much exclusively a wrestler. He doesn’t throw with power or even looks for submissions. But Makhachev is yet to face a hard-nosed American wrestler and until he does that, I’ll take the long odds on Lentz.
Under 2.5 rounds – $1.30
Glover Texeria – 1.48
Dustin Poirier – $1.24
Randy Brown – $1.71
Nick Lentz – $3.35
