Rosehill Racing: 2017 Ming Dynasty Quality Betting Tips

Rosehill Race 6 – Ming Dynasty Quality 1400m – Group 3

The Ming Dynasty is one of two three-year-old feature races on the card at Rosehill Gardens this weekend, with a field of 10 runners set to line up over 1400m.

Rosehill is currently rated a Good 3 which could mean the track favours those runners up on the speed, but at this stage of the day we may see it even out.

There looks a decent enough tempo on paper here with both Addictive Nature and Runaway likely to vie for the lead. Animalia and Hypnotist will also be in the first half of the field close to the speed. If the front two take each other on early, it could see this run at a decent clip.

I think the market has missed one here and that’s Assimilate for Peter and Paul Snowden with Hugh Bowman on board. He is undefeated this horse, and last start beat his stablemate Dracarys, who then came out and won in Group 3 company last weekend. The step up to 1400m only helps here, and if the front pair carve each other up, it will only set it up for him to run over the top. I can’t believe the $6.50 on offer and we are getting a great place price too, so I’ll be having a good each way bet on him.

Addictive Nature has had plenty of hype surround him since he was first seen at the trials. He was run down last start but had legitimate excuses after being pestered for the lead the entire race. The horse that fought him dropped out while this horse ran 2nd, so if he gets an easier time of it today he can bounce back.

Mahalangur only won a Newcastle maiden last start but he was backed off the boards and landed the plunge with an impressive victory. They’ve come straight to Group 3 company with him and the Hawkes stable wouldn’t do that if he wasn’t good enough. It’s a steep jump and there are a few talented types, but expect him to run a good race.

Runaway can progress from its last start win, and Hypnotist is undefeated so will be thereabouts. Astoria, Sambro and Thy Kingdom Come all return from spells, so keep a close eye on both the yard and the market to see which are met with support.
