NRL Round 21 CrownBet

The Bet King’s NRL Betting Tip of the Week for Round 21 in 2015 will see us utilise a great offer from CrownBet – place a head-to-head bet and if your team cross the white paint first but lose the match, They’ll match your bet with a bonus up to $50.

Saturday afternoon’s game between the New Zealand Warriors and the Cronulla Sharks is set to be a big one with both teams fighting to retain a Top 8 position. This is the game we will be using the CrownBet special on.

During the modern era of the game these two teams have faced off 30 times. The Sharks have a narrow lead with 16 wins. The last time they met was during round 22 last season when the Warriors hosted and defeated the Cronulla Sharks 16 – 12.

The New Zealand Warriors are in a bit of a slump, suffering back-to-back demeaning losses to the Roosters 24-0 and the Sea Eagles 32-12. Last week’s loss was made worse by the news that their Halfback Shaun Johnson will miss the rest of the season. Johnson is a huge loss for the Warriors. His abilities as a playmaker are unmatched in the Warriors line up. He is instrumental in their game plan, creating opportunities and making line breaks frequently.

Ryan Hoffman will likely miss another week with a calf injury and Bodene Thompson will certainly miss a fortnight with his ankle. A slight positive is that both Manu Vatuvei and Konrad Hurrell with return from Injury and suspension respectively.

The Sharks, meanwhile, have named virtually the same side that has defeated the Bulldogs 18-16 and the Raiders 21-20 in the last couple of weeks. This week the Sharks have suffered another off-field incident. Star Prop Andrew Fifita and his twin brother David have both been left home after reports of an altercation with a referee during a recent A-grade match.

Losing Andrew is massive, he’s one of the league’s most effective forwards and manages to move the ball an average of more than 100 metres per game. Anthony Tupou will replace Luke Lewis in the back row and Chris Heighington will start in place of Andrew Fifita.

On field the Sharks look pretty strong minus Andrew Fifita. This one will go back and forth, we believe the Sharks will score a clutch try late and come home victors.

The Warriors will have to adapt early in the game to make up for the loss of Shaun Johnson, this will allow the Sharks to hit the scoreboard first. We also like young Shark Valentine Holmes to score the first try at $9 for those keen on an extra cheeky punt. The Sharks look value using this CrownBet special.
