NRL Round 19 ‘Pick of the Week’
We’re getting towards the business end of the 2015 NRL season as we focus our NRL Betting Tip of the Week on Monday night’s big upcoming game. – Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles hosting the North Queensland Cowboys.
This one marks the 23rd time these two teams have faced off. The Sea Eagles have won 13 with the remaining 9 going to the Cowboys. The last time they played was back in round 12 when the Cowboys snatched a last second interception to send Gavin Cooper across the line with just seconds to spare.
The Sea Eagles are always a handful at home. Based on their recent form their confidence should be high. Monday won’t be easy, however, as the Cowboys are just the start of a rough few weeks for the Sea Eagles as they face off against the Warriors, the Broncos and the Rabbitohs.
DCE had a tough time last week, he was booed and taunted by the Titans crowd, and despite all that he was able to string several plays together to lead the Sea Eagles to a 38-6 victory over the Gold Coast Titans. Dunamis Lui returns this week after having last week off due to general soreness, while Jaydne Hodges has been omitted.
Sitting 2nd on the ladder with 12 wins the North Queensland Cowboys are having a ripper season.
They are coming off a bye last week, nice and refreshed, from their victory over the Dragons two weeks ago. Some massive inclusions for the Cowboys this week with both Johnathan Thurston and Michael Morgan returning to the halves. This means both Robert Lui and Ray Thompson are out this week. Matt Scott also returns after his Origin campaign, while Glenn Hall has been left out.
This week is Gavin ‘Coops’ Copper’s 200th game, but this will fly under most radars as this week is also Melbourne Storms Cam Smith’s 300th game.
Monday night’s game should be an absolute stunner. The home field advantage that the Sea Eagles receive is almost unrivalled in the league, the crowd at Brookvale just know how to turn it on. Pair that with their scoring performance in recent weeks would be a tough fight for any competitor.
The Cowboys, however, are simply a stronger side and should be able to overcome the Brookvale advantage. With a scoring average of 22 points per game and the massive impact and influence that Johnathan Thurston brings to their attack, the Cowboys will hit the scoreboard and come away with the win. This one will be close, we’re predicting the Cowboys by up to 8 points.
And if you put a margin bet on for the Cowboys by 1-12 at Luxbet and they happen to blow it out to 13 or more points, you will still get a matched bonus bet equal to your stake up to $200.
