The Bet King’s NRL betting ‘Pick of the Week’ for Round 15 will see us utilise a great offer from Ladbrokes – place a bet on Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Head to Head in Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs v Penrith Panthers match (Sat, 20 June), and receive 2/1 for Bulldogs.

While the Bulldogs currently sit 11th on the NRL ladder, that doesn’t tell the entire story, with six teams currently tied on 14 points. Last week an Origin depleted Doggies lost to the Gold Coast Titans. This week we are expecting a slew of last minute changes with Coach Des Hasler likely looking to name his five Origin players. Des has also rearranged his team, with Antonio Kaufusi moving to the second row, Greg Eastwood into Lock and Sam Kasiano at Prop.

Two weeks ago Josh Reynolds showed glimpses of his best almost single handedly shifting the games momentum against the Dragons, despite despite having started on the bench. Second rower Frank Pritchard has simply been tearing it up this season averaging over 100 metres per game, He’s just one of many Big men on the Bulldogs team than knows how to run the damn ball.

The Panthers are another team stuck in the 6 way tie, sitting 9th on the ladder.
Panthers this week are welcoming back star playmaker Jamie Soward from his most recent shoulder injury. Also named is hard hitting back rower Nigel Plum.

Hooker James Segeyaro spoke this week about the attitude issues at the Panthers this season, He simply said they need stop making excuses and rediscover the mindset that took them to the preliminary finals last season. There is plenty of similarities from last season, the Panthers are again having to rely on youth with their experienced players going down with injury week after week. They’ll need Soward to step up and take control with his kicking if there are any chance to claim victory on Saturday night.

Our bet of the week is Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs @ $2 using Ladbrokes $2 Favourites Bet Special, historically the Bulldogs should win. This week marks the 87th time these two teams have faced off, Canterbury has taken home the points on 49 occasions, Though last time these two teams faced off in Round 1 this season, Penrith won 24 – 18.
Once again Penrith’s current line up and injury list will see them suffer, Canterbury should come out victorious in this one.

Bet – Bulldogs Head-to-Head – Ladbrokes $2
