Golf Betting Tips: 2016 Wells Fargo Head-to-Heads
2016 Wells Fargo Head-to-Head Golf Tips
The Wells Fargo Championship tees off on the evening of Thursday, May 5 and we have our head-to-head golf betting tips below!
Daniel Berger vs Byeong Hun An
This is a good matchup. Hun An finished 2nd last week over three rounds at the Zurich Classic. He has Berger covered in the scrambling department at 60.58% vs 58.80% however Berger has more distance off the tee (averaging 299.8 yards) and also hits more greens 67.04% vs 66.01%. Berger finished T28 at the Wells Fargo last season and he looks like a solid pick this week.
Tip: Daniel Berger to defeat Byeong Hun An – $1.85 at crownbet
Paul Casey vs Kevin Chappell
I am confused as to why Casey is the favourite here. His only experience at the Wells Fargo is missing the cut in 2011. Meanwhile Chappell is a frequent visitor. Chappell finished T16 in 2015 with an opening round 66 and even better in 2014 with a T11. He is having a great season with two 2nd place finishes already. His key stats are also superior to Casey in Driving Distance (294.6 vs 293.1), Scrambling (62.40% vs 59.20%) and Strokes gained Tee to Green (1.072 vs .949).
Tip: Kevin Chappell to defeat Paul Casey – $2.15 at crownbet
Bill Haas vs Patton Kizzire
Two of the shorter drivers of the ball which isn’t ideal at Quail Hollow. Haas has a big advantage in this matchup considering Kizzire is coming from the Web.com tour with no Wells Fargo experience and Haas plays here every year. In 2011 Haas finished 4th here with an opening round 64. Haas is also hitting more greens this season (68.36% vs 65.42%) and has scrambled better (63.90% vs 62.95%). Haas also gains more strokes Tee to Green (.943 vs .455). Quail Hollow isn’t a course that sets up great for either player but Haas’s experience and stats should equate to a win.
Tip: Bill Haas to defeat Patton Kizzire – $1.80 at crownbet
J.B Holmes vs Patrick Reed
An interesting matchup. Reed is slightly ahead in some of the key stats including Strokes gained Tee to Green (1.313 vs 1.014) and also scrambling (68.18% vs 62.69%) however J.B Holmes has three far greater advantages. Driving distance and Greens in Regulation go to Holmes (310.2 vs 292.9) and (66.49% vs 65.89%) plus the fact that Holmes has won this event just two years ago. Although Holmes missed the cut last year this course clearly suits him and he will be keen to bounce back.
Tip: J.B Holmes to defeat Patrick Reed – $1.85 at crownbet
Jason Kokrak vs Luke Donald
The former world number 1 Luke Donald has little to no experience at this tournament. The only part of Donald’s game that will help him this week is his scrambling ability (67.79% vs 61.62%). On the other hand, this course sets up great for Kokrak and he has the experience here. Kokrak will be 30-40 yards in front of Donald off the tee and that alone should be the difference (at Quail Hollow). Kokrak had a good showing here in 2014 with a T23 and he has had six Top 25 finishes so far this season.
Tip: Jason Kokrak to defeat Luke Donald – $1.90 at crownbet
