CrownBet add new Brownlow markets for Nat Fyfe
CrownBet are offering its punters a special market on the outcome of the AFL Brownlow Medal.
The option comes immediately following the sports bookmaker paid out a six-figure sum to CrownBet punters who had placed a bet on Nat Fyfe to win the 2015 Brownlow Medal at season’s end.
The market also takes a bit of a dig at the Carlton football club as it compares the entire team to the incredible talents of Nat Fyfe.
The Fremantle midfielder has been backed into favouritism at $1.80 to poll more votes in the Brownlow medal than the entire Carlton team combined ($2.00). The market opened with Fyfe at $2.50 but that was quickly snapped up by savvy punters happy to jump all over Fyfe’s sensational season.
CrownBet has also included three more Brownlow market options.
Fyfe is currently paying $2.70 to break the modern day record of polling three votes in nine games that was set by Greg Williams, whilst he is paying $1.40 to poll three votes in nine games or less. It’s quite possible that Fyfe already has seven maximums locked away just nine rounds into the season!
The market is also open for Fyfe to break the modern day record set by Dane Swan for the most votes won throughout the entire season. The mark is set at 34 votes and CrownBet are giving the odds of $2.15 to score more and $1.67 to score less.
The last market option is in reference to the Round 9 game held between the Adelaide Crows and Fremantle Dockers. CrownBet is offering the odds of $1.40 for Nat Fyfe and Patrick Dangerfield at $2.90 to poll the three votes in the contest whilst any other player is paying a juicy $51. It was one of the great head-to-head contests between two of the best players in the game, and while Dangerfield had the better statistical game, with the Dockers getting the victory, the three votes definitely favours Fyfe.
There are still 15 rounds to go in the AFL regular season and Fyfe is playing at a level above the rest, but a suspension or injury could see his season tarnished.
