Cricket New Zealand Pakistan betting

Pakistan will continue their tour of New Zealand with the three match ODI series set to begin on 25th January at the Basin Reserve, Wellington and we have our latest cricket betting tips right here at Bet King.

The hosts will be buoyed by their recent T20 win over the same opponents while the visitors are the most dangerous side in world cricket.

New Zealand have a depleted side for the series with so many regulars missing from action. Brendon McCullum, Ross Taylor and Tim Southee have been regular to their fortunes for so long that you can’t imagine a Kiwi side without them. But, all three will be unavailable for the hosts.

But, the strength of the Kiwis has been the resilience shown by the replacements with the likes of Colin Munro and Henry Nicholls trying their best to announce their capability. Munro, in particular, will be high on confidence after his T20 exploits and should be the one to watch out for. The hard hitting Corey Anderson is coming back to full fitness and should be a dangerous proposition for the visitors.

Time and again the Pakistan side has proven to be the most unpredictable one in world cricket. On any given day, they can easily brush off the best of the teams while the very next day they play so innocuously that even the minnows can shrug them off. It is this volatility that makes them so exciting and frustrating to watch, in equal measure.

Their batting is still wobbly at the moment and much would depend on the returns of their captain Azhar Ali and the veterans Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik. Bowling will depend on the left arm variety of Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Irfan and Wahab Riaz.

There is no doubt that the odds offered are in favor of a Kiwi series win. There is not much value in that aspect. With his recently found consistency and brutality, Martin Guptill could be the one to watch out for from the Kiwi camp. Back him at odds of 3.75 (William Hill) to be their best batsman. For the Pakistani side, it could be Hafeez at odds of 4.5 (William Hill) who may turn out to be their best batsman.

Among bowlers, Matt Henry at odds of 3.75 (William Hill) could be an interesting bet to be among wickets. For the series score, a bet on 2-1 in favour of New Zealand (odds of 2.38 by betway) could be ideal.
