Big Bash League (BBL07) Round 4 Tips

January 1, 2018 by Posted in Cricket Tips

It’s New Year time and the Big Bash will continue the festivities, as the fourth round of fixtures are set to commence on the New Year’s Day. We look ahead to what’s in store!

There’s plenty of other cricket on at the moment with the Ashes in full swing along with a heap of international cricket! Make sure you check out our cricket page for all your tips!

Sydney Thunder vs Hobart Hurricanes (Monday 6.25pm AEDT)

The Thunder have picked up their second win of the season – over the Hurricanes, incidentally – and are looking to have nailed their first-choice XI. With captain Shane Watson enjoying his exclusive-BBL duty and the spinners relishing working together, all that the Thunder want now is to go on a winning run!
The Hurricanes come into this fixture, having lost their first two fixtures of the season. There haven’t been any success stories so far for them, barring the exciting quick Jofra Archer (three wickets, economy rate of 4.87). Can they pull their socks and get points on the board?

TIP: Thunder to win – $1.65 at Ladbrokes

Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Sixers (Monday 9.20pm AEDT)

The Scorchers are already looking like the team to beat, despite their troubles with six of their first-choice starters. They continue to relish ‘Tye’ing the opponents in low chases, which makes them a tough team to face anywhere!
The Sixers are one of the three teams, yet to get a win, and that puts extra pressure on them ahead of this key clash. The fact that they will not have the services of their captain Moises Henriques makes it extra tough!

TIP: Scorchers to win – $1.67 at Sportsbet

Melbourne Stars vs Brisbane Heat (Tuesday 7.20pm AEDT)

It has been a disappointing start to the season for the Stars, who have lost both their opening fixtures. But, with Kevin Pietersen set to come back after a brief Christmas break, the Stars will look forward to getting their season started.
What to say of the Heat, especially when Chris Lynn is back! The trio of Lynn, Brendon McCullum, and Joe Burns look to be one terrifying unit any bowlers would dread to face. They look good to push the Heat charge in the top-half of BBL07!

TIP: Heat to win – $1.85 at CrownBet

Melbourne Renegades vs Sydney Sixers (Wednesday 7.10pm AEDT)

The Renegades have shuffled their pack in the summer leading to the tournament, but still it is their old war-horses Cameron White and Dwayne Bravo leading their charge. The Gades will hope for more ammunition from their captain Aaron Finch before he departs for national duty.
To say that the Sixers are struggling, is an understatement! Their batsmen are finding it tough to get on the board, as their batting charts is led by the spinner Steve O’Keefe (70 runs, strike rate of 148.93). If they won’t turn up fast, they may struggle to get into the top-four race.

TIP: Renegades to win – $1.53 at Sportsbet
