Dec 28, 7:10 PM local: Sydney Sixers vs Adelaide Strikers at SCG
The Sixers have lost their first two matches – to the Thunder on the opening day and to the Scorchers in the last round. This is no reason to panic yet, but the Sixers know that they need to get a win in their bag and start their BBL07 pursuit. Will it be against the Strikers?
The Strikers started the season in the best possible way, after a series of mishaps in the off-season recruitment. A win against the Thunder was the best possible answer to the critics, but they face a bigger challenge of keeping up with the challenge of maintaining the momentum.

Dec 29, 7:10 PM local: Melbourne Renegades vs Perth Scorchers at the Etihad Stadium
The Renegades lived up to their pre-tournament billing as the favourites by notching up two successive comprehensive wins. It may be too early in the tournament to say, but the Renegades are already looking like ‘the team to beat’.
The Scorchers love to challenge the odds and revel in adverse conditions. This season also, even with all those absences because of international commitments and injuries, the Scorchers are looking determined as ever. Will they be the first to trip the Renegades?

Dec 30, 7:10 PM local: Hobart Hurricanes vs Sydney Thunder at Launceston
The Hurricanes were tipped to finish outside the top four by most of the analysts, and their performance in their opener against the Renegades didn’t do anything to dispel that. It is early, though, and the underdogs may want to make a comeback.
The Thunder showed the two sides of their performances already – clinical against the Sixers and poor against the Strikers. Shane Watson will look to induce some sense of consistency within his side as they look to make winning a habit.

Dec 31, 6:40 PM local: Adelaide Strikers vs Brisbane Heat at the Adelaide Oval
The Strikers will finish off this round with their second match in just a few days. The performance of their bowlers in their season opener was admirable and if it is anything to go by, they can be the underdogs in the race to top four!
The Heat had a mixed start to the BBL07 season by picking up a win and a loss in the opening two matches. With Chris Lynn and Joe Burns set to get back into the playing XI, the Heat will be a different proposition.
