AFL Round 21 ‘Pick of the Week’

After managing a handy profit last week, the Bet King’s AFL Betting Tip of the Week for Round 21 is back.

This time we are looking at the North Melbourne Vs. Fremantle game.

Kicking off at 1.10pm at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, we see tremendous value in the Dockers at $2.18. Fremantle started the week at $1.95 and there has was plunge for the Kangaroos on Thursday night. I really think people are getting a little too excited about the Roos. Yes, Pavlich was ruled out, but he hasn’t been super important for the Dockers in the second half of this season.

Let’s really try and remember that the Dockers have lost just three games this year. One of those losses did come last week, but it was a massive derby game against one of the best teams in the comp.

North Melbourne, meanwhile, have won six in a row – five of those teams being the bottom five teams in the comp! Let’s not get too excited about victories against the Saints, Demons, Blues, Lions and Essendon.

The one big positive for North Melbourne throughout that period was their scoring power. Their opponents, however, were some of the worst defences in the league. Fremantle are a different beast and will no doubt be very keen to bounce back after last week’s loss.

The game being at Etihad is certainly in North Melbourne’s favour, but I just think Freo’s defence will be too good for the Roos. They have conceded only 68.1 points per game this year and I think they will be able to lock the Roos down this weekend. And actually, the Dockers have won 9 of 11 games at Etihad and four of the last five, so they won’t be concerned about Etihad.
