AFL Round 15 ‘Pick of the Week’

The 2015 AFL season continues and so do the Bet King’s AFL tips as we offer up our AFL Round 15 ‘Pick of the Week’.

We will be using this special on the Magpies to beat Port Adelaide.

It’s somewhat surprising to see that Collingwood are paying $1.90 to win this game. Yes the game is at Adelaide Oval, but the Power have been woeful the last several weeks. It’s true that were slightly better in their loss to Sydney last round, but we have to remember they were beaten by Carlton a fortnight ago.

The Pies, meanwhile, despite losing the last two rounds, are still one of the better sides in the comp. Their two losses were against the two best teams in the Hawks and Freo. Prior to those games the Pies were fired up and looking like a real finals chance.

It is Collingwood’s movement inside 50 that will cause Port Adelaide headaches. They are ranked equal first for marks inside 50, while Port Adelaide really struggled in this department. As long as Travis Cloke kicks true and Jamie Elliot puts on one of his usual elite small forward games and you can see Port Adelaide struggling.
The Magpies won the last time these two played back in Round 19 of last year and the Power were clearly a better team at that point. This game is at Adelaide Oval, but that shouldn’t be too much of a problem for Collingwood.

The problem with Port Adelaide this year is getting points on the board. They are averaging just 83 points per game this year which likely won’t be enough to defeat the Magpies.

We really think the Magpies should be paying around $1.70 – $1.75 here
