AFL Round 12 ‘Pick of the Week’

Coming up with the best AFL betting pick of the week for Round 12 was tough. It’s the second round of the byes and not only are there less games to choose from, the match ups lean heavily towards the favourites.

The first game of the three-leg multi is North Melbourne to beat GWS. This one looks like one of the easier games to pick. Despite the match being played at Spotless Stadium the Kangaroos looked primed for a victory. They are starting to gain some momentum and looked solid in their loss against the Swans last week. The Giants, meanwhile, really struggled against Collingwood last week and were not great against Brisbane or the Bulldogs in the weeks prior – clearly the young team is starting to get a bit weary.

Next up in the multi is the Western Bulldogs to beat the Lions. This one is at Etihad and there is no reason to think Brisbane can travel down south and win. The Bulldogs have one of the strongest contested ball records in the league this year, while this is the category that the Lions struggle in. We are expecting the Bulldogs to win this one in a scrap.

The final leg that we need to hit to secure the multi is the Cats to beat the Demons. The Cats should be paying a $1.01 here. They proved last week that they are far too classy for the Demons and with two extra break days in the lead up to this game, they will be fitter too. This is the leg we are least worried about.

Bet: North/Dogs/Cats
