The Bet King’s AFL Round 10 ‘Pick of the Week’
The Bet King’s AFL betting ‘Pick of the Week’ for Round 10 of the 2015 AFL season.
The Cats have won the last three meetings between these two teams with all three being at Etihad which is where this game will be played on Saturday night.
Both teams come into the game 4-5 and both teams have been equally as inconsistent. Preseason we would have had both in the top eight, but now we are not too sure. However, the fact is that we still lean towards having the Cats in the finals, while the Bombers have done little to make us lean towards having them in there.
The Bombers were beaten by the Tigers last round, while the week before that they defeated a struggling Brisbane. The Cats, meanwhile, were thrashed by the Eagles out west last week and the week before they thrashed the Blues.
An interesting stat to look at here is that these two teams are the worst clearance winners in the league with the Bombers ranked 17 and the Cats ranked 18. However, the Cats have been able to score marginally better this season, averaging 84 against the Bombers 78.
We put this one down to Geelong matching up strongly against the Bombers, while also showing more this year in their wins against the Tigers and Collingwood compared to the Bombers who apart from an early win against the Hawks in Round 2, have been taken care of by Collingwood, North Melbourne and Richmond, while also only just beating the Saints.
Throw in the 24-point buffer and there looks to be a huge amount of value on Geelong at $1.70.
Bet: Geelong Hd-to-Hd ($1.70)
