A-league Round 27 Betting Multi
The A-league regular season comes to a conclusion this weekend and after going 3/4 last week with our betting multi we will be looking to go one better and finish on a high.
To kick things off we will be backing Melbourne City to continue their dominance on home soil and earn a victory over Adelaide United. City suffered a loss to the Glory away from home last week in an entertaining 3-2 contest. The City is undefeated on home soil since round 8 of this season and have eight of the ten matches. Meanwhile City also earned a victory on the road against this weekend’s opponent. The Reds have been a strong side this season since their resurgence but we believe City’s new defence and always strong attack will get them over the line in this one as Bruno Fornaroli has the best record of any striker in one A-league season.
In our second leg we will be backing the Roar to defeat the Victory on the road. The last time these two sides met the Roar were victorious 5-0 in one of the worst defeats in the Victory’s history. However, the Roar was on the other end of the result when they travelled to Melbourne to take on the defending champions last time around. The Victory earned a draw in their midweek Champions League match and they will be forced to back up after travelling back from Japan. The side will likely be fatigued towards the end of the match and to add to that they will be without their leading scorer Besart Berisha who is suspended.
Phoenix are taking on the Wanderers and we are predicting the Western Sydney side to earn the victory as they look to build some momentum heading into the finals series. The Phoenix have the second worst defence of any team this season with only the Mariners conceding more goals whilst they are on the bottom of the ladder and will be looking forward to the season being over as they can enjoy a holiday before regrouping for next year’s season. Meanwhile the Wanderers have been out of form but after picking up a 4-0 victory last week they will be full of confidence and will want a similar result against another weak side.
In our final leg we will be expecting Perth Glory to defeat Sydney FC away from home. The Sky Blues will miss out on the finals series altogether which is an incredibly disappointing season for a side that reached the Grand Final last season and was the second favourite to lift the trophy at the beginning of the season. However, they have shown signs of their best in the Champions League and are currently sitting on the top of their group. Meanwhile the Glory has won 10 of their last 11 matches and are the inform team of the competition. They picked up a great victory last week at home against Melbourne City and they will be too good this weekend as they look to take their consistency into the finals series.
