A-league Round 14 Betting Multi
We again went 2/4 with our A-league Multi last week as the Mariners were able to upset the Phoenix for their second win of the season whilst the Wanderers were unable to earn the three points at home and were forced to settle for a draw with the Reds. This week we will take advantage of some short priced favourites in an attempt to pick up a nice payday.
We will be taking the Melbourne Victory to win on the road against the Central Coast Mariners on Friday night. The Mariners may have picked up a win last week but it is unlikely they will go back-to-back as they have looked a class below the league for the majority of the season with their inexperienced and young side. The Victory was also able to pick up a win last week and the defending champions have won their last six matches against the Mariners.
The Sky Blues are at home to the Jets and we will be picking them to secure the three points. They have won seven of the last nine matches with the other two matches ending in a draw as their dominance over Newcastle has continued into this season as they picked up 1-0 victories in both of their encounters. Sydney FC has improved its offence in recent weeks as it has managed to score six goals in their last two games whilst their defence is still solid.
In the match of the round we will be backing a draw against Melbourne City vs Western Sydney Wanderers. These two sides are in hot form and could find themselves facing off in the finals series later in the year. It will be a big battle between arguably the two strongest players in the league at the moment Aaron Mooy and Mitch Nichols. Both players have an attacking role in the side, which creates opportunities for their team mates whilst they have found the back of the net on several occasions themselves with Nichols leading the way for goal scoring for his team. The two sides will find ways to equal each other out and we expect a high scoring match with the two sides splitting the points.
In our final leg we will be backing the Brisbane Roar’s strong run to continue at the expense of the Wellington Phoenix. The Roar are equal on points with competition leaders the Wanderers and they could find themselves alone at the top at the end of the weekend if everything goes to plan. The Roar are the second strongest team in both attack and defence whilst the Phoenix have fallen into a slump and have gone four matches without a win which includes three losses – there worst coming last week to the Central Coast Mariners who sit on the bottom of the table.
