A-league Round 10 Betting Multi
Each week we will be previewing the 2015-16 A-league action and offering a four-leg betting multi using the Sportsbet promotion, which gives cash back up to $100 if one leg fails.
To start things off we will be taking Sydney FC to defeat Adelaide United on Friday night. Both these sides picked up a 1-0 victory last week and for the Reds it was their first three points of the season and they moved off the bottom of the table for the first time since round three. Meanwhile the Sky Blues were able to move back into the top three and their win came on the back of their defence that has been the best in the league this season. They have kept six clean sheets and conceded only six goals – four of them coming in one game. They still need their attack to click but they will be able to do enough for the win.
In a top of the table clash, the Western Sydney Wanderers will be hosting the defending champions the Melbourne Victory. The home team has won their past six matches and will want to pick up their biggest scalp this weekend. However, it will be a tough ask as the Victory haven’t lost in their last four matches against the Wanderers and I expect them to keep that record intact this weekend as these two sides play out an entertaining draw. The Wanderers have gelled nicely since their slow start to the season and can turn defence into attack quickly through Mitch Nichols. However, the Victory are a complete side and despite their shock loss last week they will bounce back strongly.
The Central Coast Mariners are travelling to Perth to take on the only team they have beat this season, however they won’t be able to get the same result this time around. The Glory have shown they are a hard team to play at home this year and the Mariners have struggled on the road. The Mariners have the worst defence in the league conceding 21 goals in nine matches and they haven’t kept a clean sheet once. Their woeful defence will be caught out again this weekend as Glory pick up the victory.
In our final leg we will be taking Melbourne City to continue their recent strong form against the Newcastle Jets. Their Socceroo star Aaron Mooy is leading City and he has taken his game to another level and proven he is the best player in the A-league at the moment. He has orchestrated their attack and has played his hand in the majority of the 10 goals his side has scored in the past two games. He will continue this form into this weekend as the side will want revenge for their loss to the side six weeks ago, as they let a two goal lead slip in the final 20 minutes.
