2018 NRL Round 8 Betting Multi

The NRL season continues this weekend and we take a look at the best value matches for our NRL Round 8 Betting Multi.

Rabbitohs vs Broncos (Thursday, Apr 26 7:50pm AEST)
Our NRL multi for Round 8 will start on Thursday night with the in-form Rabbitohs beating the Broncos. Souths are 6-1 against the line this season and they’ve jumped into second position for points scored. They’re also 4-1 in their last 5 games. Greg Inglis looks to be back in-form and they’re playing attacking footy in 2018. As they showed last week when they put up 42 points on the Raiders. In contrast, the Broncos lost 20-34 at home last week against the Storm and have a 1-3 record in their last 4 games. They’re one of the worst attacking teams in the NRL so it’s hard to see them competing with Souths in this one.

Sea Eagles vs Knights (Friday, Apr 27 6:00pm AEST)
In the second leg, I’m getting on the Sea Eagles to rebound against the Knights. Manly was terrible last week against the Eels but they will face the Knights at the right time. They just lost halfback Mitchell Pearce for a few months and that hurts their ability to score points. They also rank 2nd last in the NRL for points allowed and have a woeful record at Brookvale. Since 1988, they’re just 2-17 and have lost the last 7 at the venue as well. Manly are 2-1 at home this season and have a 15-10 record at home after a loss. So in the end, I can’t see the Knights scoring enough points to cause an upset.

Panthers vs Bulldogs (Friday, Apr 27 7:50pm AEST)
The third leg should see the Panthers rebound with a victory over the Bulldogs. Which is mainly based off the Bulldogs lack of scoring options. They were shutout by the Roosters last week and rank 2nd last for points scored. The Panthers are coming off a tight loss against the Sharks and they’re undefeated at home this season. Which includes home wins over the Titans, Eels and Rabbitohs. They’re a much better attacking team as they rank 4th in the NRL. They also allow just 15.1 points per game. So they should be able to contain the Bulldogs struggling attack in this clash.

Cowboys vs Raiders (Saturday, Apr 28 7:30pm AEST)
The Cowboys finally snapped their losing streak last week and I’m tipping another victory. They’re back at home in Round 8 and they’re coming off a comfortable win over the Titans. They have a 2-0 record against the Raiders and they should come into this clash confident. The Raiders were poor in defence last week as the Rabbitohs put 42 points on them. They haven’t won on the road this season and their defence is a real concern. So Thurston and co should take advantage in another win.

Eels vs Tigers (Sunday, Apr 29 4:10pm AEST)
The last leg will be the 5-2 Wests Tigers beating the 1-6 Eels. I’ll give credit to the Eels for finally winning a game in 2018 but really it was only against the poor Sea Eagles. Meanwhile, Wests played in a tough loss against the Knights, in which they really should have won. But they will take confidence from a 30-20 win over the Eels in early April already. The Tigers are the best defensive team in the NRL and that should be the key against the Eels. Parramatta will be looking to continue the points after scoring 44 on Manly, but I can see them getting stopped near the try-line by the Tigers. In the end, the Tigers are 6-1 ATS this season and the Eels are just 1-6 ATS. Wests also lead the head to head since 2010, 10-6.
