2018 NRL Round 7 Betting Multi
The NRL season continues this weekend and we take a look at the best value matches for our NRL Round 7 Betting Multi below.
Warriors vs Dragons (Friday, Apr 20 6:00pm AEST)
The first leg of our NRL multi for the week starts with the Dragons defeating the Warriors. After 6 rounds, the Dragons have easily looked like the best side in the NRL with a 6-0 record. They comfortably rank first in the NRL for points scored and also rank equal 2nd for points allowed. The Storm won the Grand Final last season with similar numbers so that puts the Dragons form into perspective. To top it off, they have a 10-1 record against the Warriors. In the last meeting over in New Zealand, the Dragons thrashed them 30-14, so it’s likely going to be a similar result. The Warriors were poor against the Broncos last week and Brisbane isn’t a great side. So that doesn’t fill me with confidence about their chances against the best team in the NRL.
Broncos vs Storm (Friday, Apr 20 7:50pm AEST)
The second leg heads to Brisbane and I’m backing the Storm to continue their winning record against the Broncos. Since 2010, the Storm are 13-3 against them, so they definitely have the wood over them. They met in the finals last season and Melbourne thrashed them 30-0. The Storm are coming off a huge win over the Knights and the change at halfback seemed to help. The likes of Smith and Slater should be too much for Brisbane’s defence. I will give credit to the Broncos for beating the undefeated Warriors last week. But they still struggle to score points as they rank 4th last in the NRL (16 ppg).
Tigers vs Knights (Saturday, Apr 21 5:30pm AEST)
The Wests Tigers are definitely a real threat this season as they showed at Brookvale Oval in a 38-12 thrashing. They’ve now won 3 straight matches and rank 1st in the NRL for points allowed. So after the Knights lost 40-14 last week, it’s looking great for the Tigers again in Round 7. They’ve also beaten the Knights in the last two meetings. The last clash was a 33-12 win for the Tigers. The Knights own the second worst defence in the NRL so they’ll likely struggle to contain the in-form Tigers.
Eels vs Sea Eagles (Sunday, Apr 22 2:00pm AEST)
The fourth leg of this NRL Round 7 multi will be the Sea Eagles rebounding against the listless Eels. In the earlier meeting this season, the Sea Eagles crushed them 54-0 at Brookvale Oval. This clash is at ANZ Stadium, again in the Sunday afternoon. Parramatta are easily the worst scoring team in the NRL as they average 7.7 per game! They’re obviously not enjoying their footy at the moment and Manly will make them pay. Even though the Sea Eagles were poor last week in a 38-12 loss to the Tigers. Playing the Eels usually means a form reversal (just ask the Raiders). They also should be motivated after getting booed by the Brookvale faithful.
Sharks vs Panthers (Sunday, Apr 22 4:10pm AEST)
In the last leg of this NRL multi, the Panthers should continue their form against the Sharks. The Panthers are sitting 2nd on the ladder with a 5-1 record. They rank 4th in the NRL for points scored, while the Sharks are ranked 2nd last. So that should be the difference in the two sides. The Sharks lack the scoring options to compete, as they showed last week against the Dragons and Roosters previously. There’s also added motivation for Panthers halfback James Maloney against his former side. He’s filled the shoes of Nathan Clearly perfectly and he should control this matchup.
