2018 NRL Round 3 Betting Multi
The NRL season continues this weekend and we take a look at the best value matches for our NRL Round 3 Betting Multi.
Bulldogs vs Panthers (Friday, Mar 23 6:00pm AEDT)
The Panthers will start our NRL multi in Round 3 as they should comfortably beat this Bulldogs side. Penrith has made a comeback in both victories so far but winning form is the key. They have a massive forward pack and a number of playmakers around the park. They also have a 3-0 record against the Bulldogs and they haven’t lost any of those matches by under 8 points. For the Bulldogs, they’ve played two tough opponents in the Roosters and Storm. In both losses, they’ve conceded 30 or more points. Combine that with their lack of scoring options (averaging 15 points per match since 2017) and they don’t look like they can threaten the Panthers at ANZ this Friday.
Raiders vs Warriors (Saturday, Mar 24 3:00pm AEDT)
The second leg of our multi will be an upset in Canberra with the Warriors defeating the Raiders. Along with the Tigers, the Warriors have started surprising well in 2018. The new additions to their squad has made a major difference. Especially Blake Green at five eighth which has lifted the pressure on Shaun Johnson. The Warriors are generally a poor travelling side but a Round 1 win in Perth will give them a lot of confidence to beat the Raiders in Canberra. For the Raiders, they’ve collapsed in two straight losses and their second half performances aren’t looking great. They’re leaking 30 points against so far this season and they face a Warriors side that is averaging 26 points per match. The Raiders also have a 10-17 record at home after a loss so that has us backing the Warriors for the upset.
Rabbitohs vs Sea Eagles (Saturday, Mar 24 5:30pm AEDT)
In the third leg of our NRL multi, we’re backing the Manly Sea Eagles to beat the Rabbitohs. The Sea Eagles easily accounted for the Eels 54-0 last week and they’ll be confident of scoring over 40 points against Souths this week. They thrashed them 46-8 in the last meeting and their try-scoring form at the moment looks impressive. For Souths, they’ve been leading in both losses but second half collapses have cost them dearly. They’re missing Adam Reynolds in attack and Greg Inglis is coming off a concussion against the Panthers. So in the end, the Sea Eagles should have enough points in them once again.
Eels vs Sharks (Saturday, Mar 24 7:30pm AEDT)
The fourth leg of this NRL multi is the Sharks defeating the Eels at ANZ. Both sides have an 0-2 record, however Cronulla has been unlucky. They’ve lost on the road against the Cowboys by 6 points and against the Dragons at home by 4 points. They also led 14-0 against St George at one stage. While for the Eels, they haven’t scored a point in 134 minutes of NRL action. Since leading against the Panthers 14-0 in Round 1, they’ve conceded a total of 78 points to nothing. They’ve looked flat in Sunday afternoons and their attack is struggling. So the Sharks should enjoy facing them in defence. They’ve also won the last three meetings against the Eels by 7 or more points.
Titans vs Dragons (Sunday, Mar 25 4:10pm AEDT)
In the fifth and last leg, we’ll be backing the Dragons to start the season with a 3-0 record. They have recorded wins over the Broncos and Sharks, which both played finals in 2017. The additions of Ben Hunt and James Graham have helped. So the pressure is off Gareth Widdop to win most matches. For the Titans, they struggled without Ash Taylor in NZ as they went down 20-8. The trouble for the Titans is this match in Toowoomba doesn’t give them much home field advantage over the Dragons. So in the end, the Dragons attack will be too much for the Titans to handle.
