2018 NRL Round 20 Betting Multi

July 26, 2018 by Posted in NRL Tips

The NRL season continues this weekend and we take a look at the best value matches for our NRL Round 20 Betting Multi.

Cowboys vs Knights (Friday, Jul 27 6:00pm AEST)
The first leg of our multi for this week will be an upset in the betting. The Knights are currently underdogs but they should enjoy playing the struggling Cowboys. The home side is ridding a 5 game losing streak in North QLD. They also rank last in the NRL for points scored (14) when playing as the home side. Overall in this poor season, they’ve won just 2 of 9 at home. The Knights haven’t travelled for a while as they played 5 straight home games in Newcastle. With the return of Mitchell Pearce, they’ve won 2 straight against similar team’s to the Cowboys. They also get Ponga back in the lineup and he’ll be motivated to beat his former side. While the Cowboys do have a good record here against them (4-1 since 2013). They’re a different side in 2018 as they’re probably destined for the spoon.

Bulldogs vs Tigers (Friday, Jul 27 7:50pm AEST)
The second leg will be another victory for the Tigers when they face the Bulldogs. In back to back weeks, they’ve knocked off the Rabbitohs 22-6 and beat the Dragons previously. With a chance to still play finals, they’ll be keen to keep the momentum going against the dreadful Bulldogs. They’re coming off a 14-8 loss against the equally poor Eels. Their attack is fairly predictable and that won’t help against the Tigers defence. They rank 5th in the NRL with just 17 points allowed per game. The Bulldogs have scored just 14 points per game when they’re the home side. They were also held in-check during the earlier meeting this season as the Tigers won 14-10. Since then, the away side has added Robbie Farah and former Bulldog Moses Mbye to strengthen their lineup.

Rabbitohs vs Eels (Saturday, Jul 28 5:30pm AEST)
We’re back at ANZ in this multi with a rebounding win for the Rabbitohs over the Eels. After 9 straight wins, the Rabbitohs were due for a bad game and that’s exactly what happened against the Tigers as they went down 22-6. However, they will have too much class for an Eels side that is just playing for pride at the moment. They also dominated them in the last meeting, winning 42-24. So the Eels defence, which allows 22 points per game in 2018, will be put to the test again. In the end, they’ve also lost 9 in a row as the away side this season and have a 1-4 record at ANZ. In contrast, the Rabbitohs are 4-1 at ANZ and have one of the best attacks in the NRL.

Storm vs Raiders (Saturday, Jul 28 7:30pm AEST)
The multi moves to Melbourne’s AAMI Park with another win to the Storm. They’re coming home after 2 close victories and they love playing in-front of their home faithful. In the last 2 games here, they’ve smashed the Dragons 52-30 without their Origin stars and beat the Broncos convincingly 32-16. Overall, they’ve won 7 straight games and the key in this matchup will be the Storm’s attack. The Raiders are the worst defensive side when they travel as they allow 25 points per game. On the other hand, the Storm average just a tick over 30 points in home games. The home side has also won the last 3 meetings against the Raiders, including a 32-6 win here last season.

Titans vs Warriors (Sunday, Jul 29 2:00pm AEST)
Our multi for Round 20 ends on the Gold Coast with a Warriors victory. They’ve made the Gold Coast their home away from home with 7 straight wins over the Titans at this venue. Sitting 8th on the ladder at the moment, they’ll be looking over their shoulder at the Tigers who could be just 2 points away from their spot coming into this one. So the motivation has to win this should be high. They have travelled well this season with 7 wins from 9 and they dominated the Broncos in Round 18 at Suncorp 26-6. The Titans are coming off 3 straight losses and their attack is struggling to get going, especially at home. They’ve also lost 3 straight at home and have scored just 28 total points in those games.
