2018 NRL Round 10 Betting Multi
The NRL season continues this weekend and we take a look at the best value matches for our NRL Round 10 Betting Multi.
Tigers vs Cowboys (Thursday, May 10 7:50pm AEST)
Our NRL Multi for Round 10 will start on Thursday with another Cowboys victory. Of the two sides, they looked the best in Round 9. They beat the Panthers in Bathurst and the Tigers were smashed by the Warriors. The concern for the Tigers is the amount of points they’re leaking after a strong start to the season. In their last 3 matches alone, they’ve conceded 72. The Cowboys scored 26 against a strong Panthers defence last week and they should enjoy more attacking opportunities in this clash. They’re also 2-1 against them in Sydney and they beat them 22-14 in the last matchup, without Thurston. Last week’s win should give them confidence and they’re also well favoured in the betting. So get on the Cowboys.
Knights vs Panthers (Friday, May 11 6:00pm AEST)
In the second leg, we’ll head to Newcastle for a Panthers victory. Mainly because of their record over the Knights. Last season, they beat them 30-20 at this venue and 40-0 at home. The Knights really struggle to contain attacking sides in 2018. They’ve lost 36-18 against Souths and 40-14 against the Storm a few weeks ago. So the Panthers should take full advantage. They rank in the top 5 for points scored in 2018. They’re also very strong in defence as they allow 16.2 points per match. The Knights are missing halfback Mitchell Pearce and they haven’t scored 20+ points in their last 2 outings without him.
Warriors vs Roosters (Saturday, May 12 3:00pm AEST)
The third leg moves across the ditch as I’m backing the Warriors to beat the Roosters. They already thrashed them 30-6 earlier this season and they have won the last few matches against them in New Zealand. Overall, they’re 4-0 against the Roosters since 2016. Last week, Manly almost upset Sydney at home, which isn’t a great sign for this one. The signing of Cronk and Tedesco hasn’t really helped them improve in 2018. They rank 9th for points scored and the Warriors had them covered in this last matchup. After a 26-4 win over the Tigers at home, the Warriors should comfortably beat the Roosters once again.
Storm vs Titans (Saturday, May 12 5:30pm AEST)
The safe bet of the round is the Storm taking down the Titans at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday. They were well beaten by the Dragons last week 34-14, but the scoreline didn’t really reflect the dominance. Melbourne usually dominate teams like the Titans that don’t have a strong defence. As such, the Titans rank last in the NRL for points allowed. They were poor defensively last week against the Raiders and they’ll likely struggle to contain Slater, Addo-Carr and more. In team news, they’ve made a host of changes which isn’t a great sign. In the head to head, the Storm lead 9-4 since 2010. They did drop this match last season, 38-36. But I’m sure Bellamy won’t let that happen again.
Rabbitohs vs Dragons (Sunday, May 13 2:00pm AEST)
In the last leg, we’re sticking with the best team in the NRL, the St George Dragons. They handled the Storm last week in a 34-14 result and they’re sitting pretty atop the ladder. They’re the best scoring team in the NRL and also have the best defence, which are two strong indicators for a Grand Final team. Their goal line defence was the key last week and it will likely keep the Rabbitohs’ attack quiet as well. They’re coming off a big win over the Knights and they also get Sam Burgess back to bolster their forward pack. But they can be hard to predict (eg. lost to the Broncos in Sydney recently). In the end, the Dragons beat them 16-12 in the earlier meeting this season. So in their current form, it’s hard to see them losing this contest.
