2017 Super Rugby Round 3 Betting Tips
The 2017 Super Rugby season continues this weekend and we take a look at the best value matches for our Super Rugby Round 3 Betting Tips below.
2017 Super Rugby Round 3 Betting Tips
Chiefs vs Hurricanes (Friday 5.35pm AEDT)
Super Rugby kicks off round 3 with a block buster. The two undefeated New Zealand sides will go at it and we are predicting a tight match. The Hurricanes will face their first test of the 2017 season after easily dismantling the Sunwolves and then Rebels. They have scored a remarkable 154 points over the opening two rounds but it won’t come as easy this weekend.
The showdown between Beauden Barrett and Aaron Cruden will be a big one. Both have been in exceptional form to start the season but we believe the younger fly half will be more critical in this game. The Canes are the defending premiers and while the Chiefs will be contending for the title, we believe the away side will come out wiht a win.
TIP: Hurricanes to win at the margin (1-12) – $3.00 at William Hill
Brumbies vs Force (Friday 7.50pm AEDT)
The Force earned their first win of the season last week against the Reds and have shown big signs of improvement on their 2016 campaign. Last season they weren’t able to make the most of their opportunities but they have capitalised thus far. They learned from the narrow loss against the Waratahs and kept their foot down on the Reds after taking the lead in the second half.
Meanwhile the Brumbies have lost their opening two games. They lost against the Crusaders in Christchurch but returned home last week and couldn’t get the job done against the Sharks. They will be at home again in this one and are big favourites against the Force. However, we smell an upset on the cards with the Force building momentum and the young Brumbies side will suffer another loss.
TIP: Force to win – $3.00 at Sportsbet
Reds vs Crusaders (Saturday 7.45pm AEDT)
The Crusaders fought back from a 27-6 deficit against the Highlanders on the road to snatch victory last week – and yet the bookmakers only have them at a -7.5 line against the Reds. We believe this is far too small and the away side will earn a big victory. The Reds weren’t strong enough to hold on to their lead against the Force and suffered their first loss of the year. They have shown glimpses of attacking briliance with Quade Cooper back in the side and Eto Nabuli making an impact, however their mistakes will prove costly against the Crusaders.
The side from Christchurch is down on playmakers but their ability to turn the ball over and counterattack will prove the difference. They will earn at least a doublt point victory in this one.
TIP: Crusaders to win at the line (-7.5) – $1.90 at CrownBet
