Super Rugby Round 14 Betting Tips

Blues vs Chiefs (Friday 5.35pm AEST)
To kick things off we will be predicting the Chiefs to earn a narrow victory on the road. They will be out to bounce back from the defeat they suffered last week against the Crusaders. It would have been a tough pill to swallow for them as they outscored their opponents four tries to three but they weren’t able to come out on top on the scoreboard. Their lack of discipline cost them as the Crusaders were able to keep the scoreboard ticking over through penalty goals. The side won’t be able to make those same mistakes throughout the business end of the season and they will want to clean things up for Friday night.

Meanwhile the Blues suffered a tough loss on the road against the Stormers. They entered the final quarter with the lead but they weren’t able to hold on in South Africa. We are predicting them to continue to put up a fight but unfortunately for them they will suffer another heartbreaking loss.

TIP: Chiefs at the margin (1-12) – $2.85 with William Hill

Reds vs Force (Friday 7.45pm AEST)
The Reds enter this match on the back of a bye but the week before they earned a narrow victory on the road against the Rebels. They were able to flex their muscles when it counted and earn the important victory. It put them back in contention for the top spot on the Australian conference and another victory here will breath more life into their chances. They will need big performances from their experienced players, including Cooper Cronk, who hasn’t been able to hit his straps since returning from suspension.

Meanwhile the Force backed up their great effort in Argentina where they earned a very surprising victory over the Jaguares with an awful loss on home soil. It was their most humiliating defeat of the season and they will want to bounce back. Unfortunately for them they have a poor record in Queensland and we can’t see them earning an upset in this one.

TIP: Reds at the margin (1-12) – $2.75 with Sportsbet

Highlanders vs Waratahs (Saturday 5.35pm AEST)
The Highlanders are coming off their best performance of the season. They cruised into halftime with a lead and they kicked into another gear in the second half and raced away for a 55-6 victory. We are predicting this to be a momentum builder for the side that was considered one of the title favourites at the beginning of the season and they will continue to improve heading into the finals series.

Meanwhile the Waratahs picked up their biggest win of the year last week, although it was against the Rebels. The side has been inconsistent all year and we can’t see them putting together a performance that will lead to an upset on the road against the Highlanders. The Waratahs hopes of reaching the finals aren’t very high and we can’t see them staying in touch in this game.

TIP: Highlanders at the line (-17.5) – $1.90 with CrownBet
