Super Rugby Round 11
The 2017 Super Rugby season continues this weekend and we take a look at the best value matches and offer our Round 11 Preview and Betting Tips.

Hurricanes vs Stormers (Friday 5.35pm AEST)
The Stormers will enter this match low on confidence after suffering two straight humiliating defeats against New Zealand opponents on the road. They had started the season strongly, winning their first six matches but they find themselves on a three game losing streak. After this match they will enter a bye round before returning home and they will want to take a positive into the break. The side has a lot of questions surrounding their defence having leaked 57 points in both of their last two games, meanwhile their attack hasn’t put much on offer.

Meanwhile the Hurricanes have just one loss to their name this season and are looking likely to defend their Super Rugby title. The side has one of the best attacks in the competition with flyhalf Beauden Barrett pulling the strings for his outside backs to dominate on. We can see them scoring a lot of points in this one, however the Stormers will put up more of a fight and be within the bookmakers line.

TIP: Stormers at the line (+23.5) – $1.90 with William Hill

Rebels vs Lions (Saturday 3pm AEST)
The Rebels return home after suffering a massive loss at the hands of the minnow South African side the Kings. It was one of their worst of the season as they failed to crack the line of the Kings and they managed just one penalty goal. It isn’t positive signs for the club who have a cloud hanging over their heads whether they will be in the competition next season. The Rebels have found themselves on the wrong end of a big score line on multiple occasions this season and as they are facing a stronger opponent this Saturday, it could be a long afternoon for them.

Meanwhile the Lions will enter this one after overcoming the Force. The side was sloppy and weren’t at their clinical best but they did enough to get the job done. The side has one of the stronger forward packs in the game and Franco Mostert and Kwagga Smith were great in the backrow and they will pick apart the Rebels at the set piece – especially the lineout. We are predicting the Lions to be too strong in all of the clinical areas and run away with the contest.

TIP: Lions at the line (-15.5) – $1.91 at Sportsbet

Waratahs vs Blues (Saturday 7.45pm AEST)
The Waratahs were able to avoid what would have been another brutal blow on Saturday night. They came from behind to defeat the Reds at Suncorp stadium but it was done in less than convincing fashion. A couple of late penalties allowed Bernard Foley to kick the New South Wales side to victory despite the team crossing for less tries. They haven’t been able to find consistency this season in any area and their defence has been worse than their poor attack. The side has made far too many errors and they haven’t been capitalising on their opportunities. Israel Folau is having one of his worst seasons for the Tahs and they need him to step up in a big way if they are a chance of storming their way into the finals. The sides confidence will have lifted due to the victory but it is hard to see them earning the victory on Saturday night, even when they are playing on home soil. They will have added incentive though, after an embarrassing loss in front of their home fans a fortnight ago against the Kings.

The Blues will be hoping to build momentum after they saw off the Brumbies last week on the road. This will be their second match in Australia before they return home next weekend. The side will be proud of its defensive effort against the Brumbies as they held them tryless. They were on the backfoot for the majority of the match but they capitalised on three tries and earned the 18-12 victory. We are predicting them to be able to crack the Waratahs defence easier on Saturday and they will be able to earn back-to-back victories on the road against Australian opponents.

TIP: Blues at the margin (1-12) – $2.70 at William Hill
