NRL Round 6 Preview
The 2017 NRL season is beginning to heat up and the action continues this weekend with some massive matchups, we take a look at some of the key games in our NRL Round 6 Preview and Betting Tips.

Best NRL Round 6 Betting Tips

Brisbane Broncos vs Sydney Roosters (Thursday 8pm AEDT)

NRL Round 6 kicks off with the Broncos hosting the Roosters. Both of these sides will enter this match as losers, with the Broncos suffering their third defeat in five games while the Roosters were on the losing end for the first time this season.

The Broncos focus all of their attention on their defence, which has seen their attack faulter this season. Anthony Milford and Ben Hunt haven’t reached their ceiling as of yet and the side has been held under 20 points in four of their games. They will need to throw the ball around more and chance their arm if they are hoping to be a premeirship contented. However, the side has been at its best at Suncorp stadium.

The Roosters lost their first game, with the side held to two tries. Luke Keary and Mitchell Pearce have formed a strong halves pairing while Latrell Mitchell has been dangerous at left centre. Blake Fergurson may have came back a week too early as he looked like a passenger on the weekend but he will be better for it on Thursday night. It will be a close battle but ultimately the defence of the Broncos will keep them in the game and they will find a way to win in front of their home fans.

TIP: Broncos to win at the line (1-12) – $3.00 with William Hill

Newcastle Knights vs Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs (Friday 6pm AEDT)

The Bulldogs have opted to have Moses Mbye return to the starting line up in place of Matt Frawley. It was an expected move but we believe Frawley proved last week he is a better option. Mbye lacks an attacking kicking game which is crucial for a halfback while he doesn’t steer the side around the park at a high level. Josh Reynolds proved last week what he is capable of when he has a dominant half and he plays poorly alongside Mbye.

Meanwhile the Knights have shown a lot of enthusiasm and energy in all of their games – except for their big loss against the Panthers. The side fought back in their match against the defending champions the Sharks last weekend and almost caused an upset. We are leading towards the home side in this one, as we think the Knights will shock a lot of people with an upset victory on home soil.

TIP: Knights to win – $2.50 with Sportsbet

Gold Coast Titans vs Canberra Raiders (Saturday 5.30pm AEDT)

The Titans have suffered a lot of injuries this season. The side will be playing their fourth string fullback this weekend with Tyronne Roberts-Davis to line up at the back with only four NRL games under his belt. The 19-year-old will no doubt see a lot of pressure as Raiders coach Ricky Stuart will look to exploit his inexperience.
Meanwhile the Raiders are back to their attacking best.

They put on 30 points against a strong defensive side the Eels last weekend. Joseph Leiluia and Jordan Rapana are looking threatening on the right while Jarrod Croker is finding his feet after returning from a knee injury. We are predicting the injuries of the Titans to play a huge role in this one, as the Raiders pick apart the inexperienced outside backs on the way to a cruisy victory.

TIP: Raiders to win at the margin (13+) – $2.60 with CrownBet

New Zealand Warriors vs Parramatta Eels (Sunday 2pm AEDT)

The Warriors grabbed their second victory of the season on the weekend but they had to do it the hard way. After trailing 22-6 against the Titans on home soil, they finally kicked into gear and scored 22 unanswered points for the six point victory. A lot of it can be credited to the return of Kieran Foran. He made his first appearance for the Warriors and first NRL match in just under 12 months. He fits in perfectly with the Warriors side and backline as he straightens their often sideways attack. He takes a lot of pressure off of Shaun Johnson while Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will have more space as Foran will draw a lot of attention towards him.

Meanwhile the Eels are on a downward spiral after winning their opening two games. They have lost their last three games and haven’t looked as crisp in attack. Corey Norman continues to create opportunities but they are definitely feeling the losses of key players who were shown the door because of the salary cap drama. We are predicting the home side to earn narrow victory in this one.

TIP: Warriors to win at the margin (1-12) – $3.20 with Sportsbet
