2017 NRL Round 25 Betting Tips

The 2017 NRL season has reached its second last round of the regular season. We take a look at the best value matches in our NRL Round 25 Preview and Betting Tips below.

Brisbane Broncos vs Parramatta Eels (Thursday 7.50pm AEST)
The danger signs for the Eels were evident a fortnight ago when they suffered a 19-point defeat at the hands of the bottom placed Newcastle Knights. In their defence, the red and blue did produce on of their best performances of the past three years. However, the Eels were only able to cross for two tries and last week against the Titans they were out of sorts in attack. They managed to earn the comfortable victory but the side will need to be much more clinical if they are to put pressure on the strong defence of the Broncos.

Meanwhile, the Broncos will be out for revenge in this game. The two sides met four weeks ago and the Broncos were outclassed in the final 10-minutes of the game to suffer a loss. To add to that, they scored the opening 12-points in the first 10-minutes of the game but were kept scoreless for the remaining 70. The side has been impressive since that loss with convincing wins over the Titans, Sharks and Dragons. We are predicting them to be too strong on home soil and wrap up a comfortable win in this one.

TIP: Broncos at the margin (13+) – $2.10 at Sportsbet

Wests Tigers vs North Queensland Cowboys (Friday 7.50pm AEST)
Friday night will finish off with what has the potential to be one of the worst games of the season. The Cowboys have the majority of their roster in the casualty ward and they will struggle to field a competitive side in this one. The Bookmakers can’t split the two teams, but if you looked at their current positions on the ladder, you would think it would be a win for the Cowboys incoming.

However, we are going to back the Tigers to win this one. They have shown improvement in the majority of their games since Ivan Cleary took over as coach and they showed great character a fortnight ago to come from behind and defeat the Sea Eagles while last week they almost upset the third placed Roosters. We believe they will get the job done in a tight match against the Cowboys.

TIP: Tigers at the margin (1-12) – $3.20 at William Hill

Cronulla Sharks vs Sydney Roosters (Saturday 7.30pm AEST)
The defending premiers the Sharks and the Roosters snapped two game losing streaks last week to remain in the top four. This match could easily be a preview of the opening weekend of the finals and both sides will be hoping to build momentum from this game.

The Sharks were too strong last week for the Cowboys and despite a late flurry of tries for the home side, the Sharks were still able to hold on for a win. The team went back to the basics and held onto the ball and if they can do that against the Roosters on Saturday night they will be able to come away with the win.

The Roosters suffered a humiliating defeat when these two sides last met and despite scraping home against the Tigers last week, they haven’t been able to regain their top form. We are predicting them to be competitive but suffer a narrow loss in this one.

TIP: Sharks at the margin (1-12) – $3.00 at William Hill
