Manchester City vs Basel
It can’t get any easier than this for Pep Guardiola and his all-conquering side. Having already established their supremacy in the Premier League, City are expected to keep their campaign flying in the continental stage.
What about Basel? They should be happy to be facing one of the best sides in Europe at the moment. No value here as Manchester are paying a measly $1.08 to qualify.

TIP: No bet

Juventus vs Tottenham
This is a blockbuster clash of the round, although Spurs are having an indifferent Premier League season. Juve are battling it out for the Serie A title with Napoli, so the English side could smell an upset here. But, is that enough to spur the Spurs to the next round? Juventus still have the edge.

TIP: Juventus to qualify – $1.73 at Ladbrokes

Liverpool vs Porto
This should be a great encounter, because Liverpool’s penchant to score and gift goals in equal measure make it a match worth waiting for. The Reds have a better squad and greater quality to help them overcome Porto and qualify.

TIP: Liverpool to qualify at odds – $1.39 at Sportsbet

PSG vs Real Madrid
This has to be the clash of the round, isn’t it! The French Champions against the two-time defending Champions should be a cracker of a contest, considering the array of talent that will be on display on both sides. On current form, PSG remain favourites to progress.

TIP: PSG to qualify $1.73 at Ladbrokes

Barcelona vs Chelsea
In any other season or on any other form, this would have been a fascinating contest. But, Antonio Conte’s men have been in such poor form that it would need a miracle for them to progress from this encounter.

TIP: Barcelona to qualify $1.30 at William Hill

Bayern Munich vs Besiktas
Another straightforward contest, isn’t it! After an indifferent start to the season under Carlo Ancelotti, the Bavarians have improved under Jupp Heynckes. So much so, that they are right now a threat for the title contenders. This game should he a cakewalk for them. Once again, no value in the Germans here.

TIP: No bet

Manchester United vs Sevilla
United do not have a great European pedigree while Sevilla are trying to find out the means of replicating their Europa League form in the Champions League. This could be one of the dour affairs of this round and Sevilla could spring a surprise.

TIP: Sevilla to qualify – $3.25 at William Hill

AS Roma vs Shakhtar Donetsk
This is one match that could give the United vs Sevilla clash a run for its money on dull stakes. Both sides are pretty defensive minded which makes this encounter to be a low-scoring one.

TIP: Roma to qualify – $1.44 at Sportsbet
