2017-18 A-League Round 24 Betting Multi

Unfortunately we missed out on last weekend’s A-League multi of the week by just one leg, but we’ll be looking to go one better this week as we present our betting multi for Round 24 of the A-League season below.

Leg one of our multi will feature a draw between Adelaide and Newcastle in the round opener on Friday night. Adelaide played out a draw in their game last weekend against Melbourne City and as they currently sit in fifth place just two points clear of the trailing teams. They wont want to let anything slip here as they are in such a precautious position, and their defence has been rock solid so far this season, allowing just 30 goals which is the fewest of any team outside of the top two.

Leg two of our multi will be Sydney FC to bounce back after a few tough weeks to beat the Central Coast Mariners on Saturday. After barely losing a game in over two years of play, Sydney FC haven’t won a game in their last 4 fixtures in all competitions. Two losses in the A-League to Newcastle and Brisbane were mixed in with a loss and draw to Japanese team Kashima Antlers in the AFC Champions League. Their minor premiership could now be in jeopardy as they sit just five points clear of the Jets with four games to play. Another win would arguably wrap up the top spot for Sydney, and we think they get it here.

Brisbane Roar captured a fantastic win over Sydney FC on the weekend to stay in the hunt for the final few spots in the top six and they’ll be our pick in leg three of the multi against Wellington Phoenix. The match will be in New Zealand but Brisbane are in some ominous form, having won their last two games while Wellington have lost their last three and now sit three points adrift on the bottom of the ladder. Brisbane should be odds on here.

The final leg of our multi will feature Melbourne Victory to travel West and get the win over Perth Glory in the last game of the weekend. Melbourne have been arguably the in form team in the comp over the last month and currently sit third on the A-League table, having won their last two games in a row. They seem to be making a ruin at the right time of year, while Perth have won just three of their last 10 games. Should be a close game but we think Melbourne Victory have what it takes to win in WA.
