Chelsea-Tottenham
The London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea go head-to-head in the English Premier League on Sunday, 20th August. This will be the first-ever Premier League match at the Wembley Stadium which is Tottenham’s temporary home as the White Hart Lane gets renovated.

Chelsea – in the midst of doldrums
We are just one match into the new season but already so much is being made of the defending Champions Chelsea. Having had a poor transfer so far where Antonio Conte was left frustrated at missing targets, they started the season with a shocking 3-2 loss at home to Burnley.

The match saw red card for Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas who will miss this trip due to suspension. Victor Moses should be back from suspension taking his place on the left-wing which means Cesar Azpilicueta could move inside to replace Cahill as the centre-back.

New signing Tiemoue Bakayoko and star player Eden Hazard played under close doors in a practice match and should be fit for selection. If Bakayoko doesn’t start in the central midfield, Conte will have to dig deep into his reserves for replacing Fabregas.

Impressive Tottenham continue their fighting run
Tottenham remain the only side in the Premier League without a summer signing but manager Mauricio Pochettino has faith in his established squad. Davinson Sanchez has penned a deal from Ajax but his move is pending a medical and a work permit, at the time of writing.

Youngster Kyle Walker-Peters impressed as the right-back against Burnley and should start once again. Transfer outcast Moussa Sissoko who was surprisingly included last weeked could once again make a start as Song Heung-Min recovers from an injury.

Dele Alli starred in the win over Burnley while England international striker Harry Kane would be ecstatic at facing a depleted Chelsea defense.

Key Stats and battles
Spurs do not have a good record at their temporary home as last season they won just once in five games at the Wembley. The last meeting between these sides at this stadium ended 4-2 in favor of Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final.

With Cahill suspended, David Luiz becomes the leader of the defense. His tussle with Kane could well determine the contest. Another key battle is for N’Golo Kante with the Frenchman having an onerous task of keeping Alli at bay.

Prediction
It is a very interesting match. Spurs do not have a great record at the Wembley but they couldn’t have asked for a better time to play Chelsea than this. Conte is looking to set things right as issues engulf him from all angles. Does this mean a chance for Spurs to win and banish their Wembley hoodoo?

Spurs are favorites at odds of $2.10 (William Hill) while Chelsea’s win is offered at odds $3.75 (bet365). A draw is equally lucrative at odds of $3.60 (bet365) but back the Spurs to win.

TIP: Spurs to win – $2.1 at William Hill

A punt on Alli to score any time in the match comes at odds of $2.88 (bet365) while a pick on Tottenham to win to nil is offered at $3.60 (bet365).

TIP: Alli to score at anytime – $2.88 at bet365
