2017-18 A-League Round 8 Betting Multi

Week 7 of the Hyundai A-League saw Melbourne Victory finally claim their first win of the season and the Sky Blues reclaim the top spot with a win over the Jets. There’s plenty more exciting games coming up this week, so join us here as we look ahead to the upcoming matches and present our A-League Multi of the Round for Week 8

The first leg of our multi is Melbourne Victory to defeat Newcastle Jets at Hunter Stadium in Newcastle. Victory were able to put an end to their winless start to the season with a comprehensive 2-0 away win against Perth last week, moving them to sixth position with a 1-4-2 record. The Jets were dealt their first loss of the season last weekend when they went down 2-1 to the reigning champions, taking them to 4-2-1 and second place in the standings. We are expecting a full strength Victory squad to keep the ball rolling with another win here.

Leg two of our multi is Melbourne City to defeat Perth Glory at AAMI Park in Melbourne. City were disappointing last week in their 3-1 loss away to Brisbane Roar. This makes it just 1-point from their last three games, but still hold on to third position at 4-1-2. Glory were extremely poor in last weekend’s loss to Victory, where they never really looked likely. Perth are now in seventh position at 2-1-4. They have only managed 1-point from their four away games this season and we expect City to deal them another loss in this one.

The third leg of our multi is Sydney FC to defeat Brisbane Roar at the Sydney Football Stadium. Sydney FC have reclaimed the top spot in the standings after their 2-1 win over the Jets last weekend. They are now 5-1-1 in the season and look like they’ll be the team to beat when the finals come around. Roar recorded their first victory of the season in a 3-1 over City last weekend, taking them to eighth place with a 1-3-3 record. However, the Sky Blues should simply be too good for them at home in this one.

The final leg of our multi is Adelaide United to draw with Western Sydney Wanderers at Hindmarsh in Adelaide. United got back on the winners list after Ryan Kitto scored in stoppage time against the Mariners last weekend. This takes United to 2-2-3 for the season and fifth place in the standings. The WSW’s have had a week off after their match against Phoenix last weekend was postponed due to the poor playing surface. They remain in fourth place with a record of 1-5-0. We are expecting this contest to come down to the wire and eventually end in a draw.
