Iceland-Euro-2016

The UEFA Euro 2016 tournament enters the business end with the 16 remaining sides competing in the first knock-out round to earn a chance to move into quarter-finals.

Switzerland vs Poland

The Swiss earned their right by finishing second to hosts France in Group A. They lack superstars but make up for it with exciting midfield players.

Poland is one of the dark horses for the title and moved to the knockout stages finishing second to Germany in Group C. The presence of striker Robert Lewandowski makes them a threat against any team.

TIP: Poland to win at odds of 2.7 with William Hill

Wales vs Northern Ireland

Wales celebrated their first international tournament in 58 years by storming into top place in Group B. The World’s most expensive player Gareth Bale makes them a lot stronger but they still remain an underdog.

Northern Ireland continue their fairy tale by picking one of the four spots available for third-placed teams. They can be very difficult to break down which will make this game a closely fought encounter.

TIP: Wales to win at odds of 2.0 with William Hill

Croatia vs Portugal

Croatia underlined their growing credentials by topping Group D without losing a game. The presence of Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic make them a feared opposition.

Portugal just managed to reach the knockouts finishing third in Group F. Cristiano Ronaldo is a name that inspires awe but the Real Madrid striker has struggled to impose himself so far.

TIP: Croatia to win at odds of 2.7 with William Hill

France vs Ireland

The hosts have been one of the most consistent teams so far and reached the last-16 by topping Group A. The sublime skills of Dimitri Payet has caught the attention of everyone and he will be a key player if they are to continue to progress.

Republic of Ireland left it late with a last gasp goal to finish third in Group E and subsequently reach the knockouts. Another tricky team to tackle, especially with their discipline at the back.

TIP: France to win at odds of 1.44 with Ladbrokes

Germany vs Slovakia

Germany failed to impress but did what was required to end up as Group C winners edging out Poland. The talent at Joachim Low’s disposal makes them a favourite.

Slovakia navigated through Group B finishing in third position. The presence of Marek Hamsik makes them a dangerous opponent.

TIP: Germany to win at odds of 1.4 with Sportsbet

Hungary vs Belgium

Hungary is one of the fairytales of the tournament. They topped Group F with an unbeaten run and should look to frustrate another fancied team.

Belgium were one of the hot favorites but have struggled to live up to that tag. With so many talented players in the squad, they can be a tough nut to crack.

TIP: Hungary to surprise Belgium at odds of 6.5 with William Hill

Italy vs Spain

A replay of last Euros finals, this is definitely the blockbuster match of this round. It would be a test of Italian defence and the Spanish finesse.

TIP: Italy to win at odds of 4.2 with William Hill

England vs Iceland

The eternal hopefuls England will look to put it across surprise package Iceland but beware of Iceland who have already impressed with their play.

TIP: Iceland to win at odds of 8.5 with William Hill

As we move into the knockouts phase of Euro 2016, the action promises to be much more intense and close. Get ready for high adrenaline action!
