Crusaders vs Waratahs (Friday 5.35pm AEST)
The Waratahs are currently on a four game winning streak and are leading the Australian conference. However, it isn’t all great news for the New South Wales side, as they will be forced to play the remainder of the season without star Kurtley Beale who suffered a serious knee injury in the opening minute of their victory against the Bulls last week. It is a massive blow for the side as their back line was beginning to find its combination and score a lot of points. It will put a lot more pressure on Bernard Foley and Israel Folau but the two wallabies are capable of being big time players and they could embrace the challenge.
However, they will be up against it as they are facing a Crusaders side that will be motivated by suffering a loss last week at the hands of the Highlanders. It was the first time the Crusaders have tasted defeat since the opening round of the competition but they still manage to sit in top place on the overall ladder. The crusaders have been dominating sides at the breakdown and at the set pieces this season and it will be a big challenge for Michael Hooper to make his presence felt in this areas of the game. He will need to have a strong performance if the Tahs are going to slow down the Crusaders strengths.
The Crusaders have one of the best records against the Waratahs as they have won 16 of the 22 meetings between the two sides. We are predicting that dominance to continue this weekend, especially with the Tahs needing to adjust without Beale in their line up.

Chiefs vs Rebels (Saturday 5.35pm AEST)
The Rebels have had their best season since their introduction into the Super Rugby competition. However, back-to-back defeats have seen them drop down the ladder and they are outside a spot for the finals. They were strong last weekend but they weren’t able to come out on top against the Brumbies. They face another tough task this weekend as they come up against the Chiefs on the road and they are historically poor when playing away from their home soil.
The Chiefs lost to the Highlanders two weeks ago in a performance they would be very disappointed in. They weren’t their normal attacking selves and they reverted to kicking the ball long on multiple occasions rather than attempting to counter attack from within their own half where they have been successful in their recent seasons.
The Chiefs lead the overall battle with the Rebels 3-1, including two victories on home soil with no losses. The Chiefs are short priced favourites in this one and whilst we believe they will win this one comfortably, the Rebels improvement this season and ability to compete in every match suggests they will keep this contest close.

Force vs Blues (Saturday 7.45pm AEST)
The Blues will be looking forward to ending their road trip this weekend but they will want to finish it off with a victory before heading home. A loss here would ultimately end their season after they were annihalted by the Lions last week in South Africa in a disappointing performance that saw them leak 43 points and score just five themselves. It was their worst loss of the season and the first match they haven’t been competitive in.
Meanwhile the Force won their second match of the season in their last start against the Sunwolves. The win was made even more impressive as it was on the road and they fell behind early but were able to overcome that and secure victory. The win has moved them away from the bottom of the table in a massive positive for the club but their isn’t much else going their way this season. The Force have been competitive in a lot of their matches and as they are coming off a bye they should be fresh for this contest. In their last match on home soil they were blown off the park by the Waratahs and they will want to make amends for that and because of that we are backing them to keep this game close, however unfortunately for the side they won’t be able to cause an upset and will lose by a narrow margin.
TIP: Blues 1-12 @ $2.80 with Sportsbet
