2016 Super Rugby Round 11 Betting Tips
The 2016 Super Rugby season continues this weekend and after going 3/4 last week and earning a profit of 8.1 units. We take a look at the Super Rugby round 11 action and offer our Betting Tips below.
Brumbies vs Bulls (Friday 7.45pm AEST)
The Bulls are on a seven game undefeated streak as they haven’t lost since the opening round of the competition. They have one of the best defences in the competition and their predictable approach to each match has been successful for them as they always take the points when they are on offer and keep the scoreboard ticking over. They also take the approach of kicking for territory but last week in the second half against the Force they showed what they were capable of by running away with the match and picking up a big victory.
Meanwhile the Brumbies are heading in the opposite directions. They have lost three of their past four matches and have fallen to the same position as the Waratahs on the table except the New South Wales side has a game in hand. The suspension to David Pocock along with some injuries to their backs including wallaby Henry Speight hasn’t helped their situation but they will have their flanker Pocock back in the line up this weekend. This will give a massive boost to the side, as they will be able to gain an added advantage at the breakdown as Pocock is by far the best flanker in the game and his presence will be felt and their line out will also benefit, especially when they look to push the ball over the line.
The Brumbies are due for a good performance and they showed at the beginning of the season what they are capable of. The Bulls solid defence will keep this one close but we are backing the home side to come out on top.

Chiefs vs Highlanders (Saturday 5.15pm AEST)
In arguably the match of the round, this blockbuster New Zealand contest will have the defending champions on the road and facing the competition leaders the Chiefs. The Highlanders returned to winning ways last week in a big victory against the Brumbies as they lost their two previous matches against the Reds and then the Sharks. They had dropped down the table but their experience in the wet conditions paid dividends as they played a much better style of rugby than the Brumbies who chanced their hand too much and were their own worst enemy. The Highlanders have lost a man to the sin bin in their last three contests and they can’t afford to spend any time a man down this week against the Chiefs.
The Chiefs have still only lost the one game all season and they continue to find a way to get over the line against their opposition. They have won their last two matches by a combined total of three points as their attack has begun to slip away. However, these close calls should be enough to snap them back into action as it is a bit of a wake up call for a side that was winning their games a lot easier at the beginning of the season. The resigning of young gun fullback Damien Mackenzie midweek will also be a boost for the side. We are backing the Chiefs to come out on top on home soil but it will be another close game.

Waratahs vs Cheetahs (Saturday 7.45pm AEST)
The Cheetahs have struggled throughout the 2016 Super Rugby season and have just the two wins to their name. Those two victories came against weak opposition in the Kings and Sunwolves but the Cheetahs have struggled when facing stronger sides this season. Last week they suffered a loss at Suncorp Stadium against the Reds and it will be a tough ask for them to overcome a trip to Sydney to take on the Waratahs.
The Tahs have picked up back-to-back victories to revive their season and they did it in superb fashion over the weekend as they defeated the Stormers in South Africa. Michael Hooper had been under a lot of scrutiny lately as he was performing at a high leve, however he turned things around on the weekend and scored the winning try in the final minutes of the contest. The move of Israel Folau to outside centre has been working over the past two weeks as he has been able to get the ball on more occasions whilst it has given Bernard Foley and Kurtley Beale a great option when in attack. We are backing the Waratahs to continue their winning ways this weekend and put a big score line on against their South African opponents.
