2016 NFL Week 9 Betting Tips
Welcome back NFL punters for another Betking NFL betting preview ahead of Week 9 action. We went 2-2 last week to take our season tally to 15-10. The biggest disappointment was the Seahawks who were beaten by the Saints in New Orleans officially proving what we had already expected – that the NFC is a very weak conference right now and it is totally wide open for who will play off in the NFC Championship game.
Looking ahead at the Super Bowl market the only real value we can see is Pittsburgh at $12 from an AFC perspective whereas the NFC is so wide open we could entertain bets on any of the teams in the NFC East (Dallas, Philadelphia, New York Giants and Washington). What an interesting season it is turning into with only one clear standout through eight weeks and that is the New England Patriots who are $3.20 favourites to hoist the trophy in February.
So, without further ado, lets take a look at Week 9 and our best value plays that are listed below!
Philadelphia @ New York
New York come off a confidence boosting win over the Rams in London where they forced a stack of turnovers and have been able to get a weeks rest and planning in ahead of this game thanks to their bye week. The Giants rank last in the NFL for rushing yards and come up against a solid Philadelphia defense. Thankfully for the G-Men they have had an extra week to scheme and prepare for this one which would have also helped a few of their key position players who were banged up prior to the bye.
Philadelphia played Dallas pretty tough last week and find themselves on the road once again against a division rival. Not an easy task! This game means a lot for both teams as well with their records, both locked at 4-3 with the wild-card spots in the NFC well and truly up for grabs.

Tennessee @ San Diego
Our best bet of the week here is Tennessee making the trip down to San Diego to play in what should be a very entertaining game. The San Diego rushing defense ranks seventh in the NFL currently, but will be tested against the Titans who currently rank second in yards per game on the ground thanks to DeMarco Murray’s return to form.
Both teams are underrated in the betting marketplace, however, this game appears that too much weight has been placed on Phillip Rivers (Chargers QB). At best this game should +3.5 but could be as low as +2.5 on our ratings. Happy to take the juicy 5.5 point start and could also entertain a bet at $3.20 H2H for the Titans.
TIP: Tennessee +5 – $1.92 at CrownBet

Carolina @ Los Angeles
This line is at least two points too high. It seems in the betting marketplace, there is still a little bit of leftover respect for last year’s Super Bowl runner-up Panthers. Carolina can’t stop anyone defensively and QB Cam Newton keeps getting hit as the fickle offensive line leaks sacks and quarterback hits. The Rams, who are coming off a bye week will be licking their lips at the prospect of getting to Newton and forcing turnovers.
The Panthers are 2-5 with wins coming in Week 2 against an awful 49ers team and last week against a Cardinals team that is all at sea. The Rams after starting 3-1 have lost three straight despite being in winning positions in all three games. They could easily be 5-2 or 4-3 whereas the Panthers made two late comebacks to make two of their losses interesting and have been largely disappointing. Everything points to this game being a pick’em but we are instead getting a juicy three points for the Rams.
TIP: LA Rams +3 – $1.91 at CrownBet

Always Gamble Responsibly.
Seems like a pair of decent picks for the upcoming matches. Personally I’ll be placing a few similar bets, and then another 2-3 bets with higher odds. I’m certain that they’ll be winners – as almost every week before this one have been.
