NFL Betting

A pleasant return to the profit zone last week with our NFL best bets going 2-1 to take our season tally to 12-6.

Washington not only covered the spread against the Eagles they won the game at the H2H price of $2.25 which was a crazy overlay for a team playing at home against an equal or lesser team. Kansas City easily put away the Oakland Raiders at better than even money. Our only blemish was the Green Bay Packers who were awful against the Cowboys in the middle game on Sunday.

Looking ahead the Patriots are still the best team in the league and the Arizona Cardinals got a much needed win against the Jets and they are capable of getting back into the top tier conversation.

Onto our 2016 NFL Week 7 best betting tips and value plays.

*Please note most of this weeks plays are at odds below $1.90 which is unusual for us. However with all three of our betting games falling below a line of three we were happy to take the lesser odds to ensure we have the field goal method of victory on our side. This may mean you have to use the ‘pick your own line’ option that most sportsbooks offer.

New York Giants @ LA Rams (London game)

On paper, this is a Los Angeles home game but in reality, it’s a four-hour flight for the Giants and a trip halfway across the world for the Rams. The Giants bounced back with a gutsy home win against the Ravens despite doing their best to blow the game with some brainless penalties down the stretch.

The Rams have some holes in their form because their two best wins have come against divisional rivals that they’ve traditionally played very well against. We see the New York Giants offense putting up a winning score against a well spruiked Rams defense that has given up 28 points or more four times in six games.

Suggested bet: New York Giants -2.5 @ $1.82
Confidence level: 80%

Minnesota Vikings @ Philadelphia Eagles

We identified Philadelphia as a potentially overrated team after Week 4. They then had a bye and lost their next two games against the Lions and the Redskins. Hardly two of the leagues elite teams. Rookie QB Carson Wentz hasn’t looked near as comfortable and they are falling back to reality.

The Vikings on the otherhand are coming off a bye week and prior to that have comfortably beaten all but one of their opponants. Their defense is as good as anyone’s in the NFL and Sam Bradford is every bit as good as the injured Teddy Birdgewater. They’ll force turnovers and be too tough for the Eagles this week.

Suggested bet: Minnesota Vikings -2.5 @ $1.87
Confidence level: 80%

Indianoplis Colts @ Tennessee Titans

This Colts team is awful in almost every area except quarterback. The defense held on early against the Texans in Monday Night Football before eventually blowing what looked to be winnable lead. They are as poorly coached as any team in the league right now and Andrew Luck keeps getting trampled by opponants defensive lines. The lack of talent across the board means we are confidently ruling them out of this division race despite only being a couple of games back.

The Titans on the other hand can sniff a division title, they’ve been competitive in all of their games this season including the Week 1 loss to the unbeaten Vikings where they could have arguably won. Mariota is growing in confidence alongside veteran running back DeMarco Murray and at home they really should be favoured by four or five points.

Suggested bet: Tennessee Titans -2.5 @ $1.83
Confidence level: 80%
