2016 NFL Week 4 Betting Tips
Another solid week for the NFL tips to take us to 6-3 on the season best bets.
This coming week’s best bets listed below and also our thoughts on the points spreads of the other games.
Los Angeles @ Arizona -8
Arizona were very disappointing last week and a sucker bet we probably should have fallen into. They return home this week and face their division rival Rams who are all of a sudden 2-1! The Rams scored 30 plus points last week which was really important for that bland offence as we know they can play at an above average level defensively week in, week out.
Since the start of 2015 the Rams are 5-3 straight-up and 5-3 at the spread against their NFC West division rivals.
The bookmakers have a lot of faith in the Cardinals to set this line so high. They’re without doubt, one of the most talented teams in the NFL but they have been priced as though they are playing like it when they have been pretty average in two of their three games thus far. The Rams should play them tough and although the Cardinals are the likely winners the spread of eight points seems too high. We expect this moves down to seven or perhaps lower come kick-off.
Suggested bet: LA Rams +9 (Ladbrokes)
Confidence level: 85%
Indianapolis -2.5 @ Jacksonville
Very strange line here with the Andrew Luck factor affecting the price too much. The Jags don’t have much of a home field advantage anyway so the fact that this one is played in London isn’t a big issue.
The Colts are one of few teams that Blake Bortles will look good against because their defense is so awful. Bortles is much better when playing on a neutral or home field than he is facing a strong road team and with the O-Line becoming more healthy and Chris Ivory returning, this game should really be a pick’em.
Suggested bet: Jacksonville H2H @ $2.15 (Various)
Confidence level: 75%
Miami @ Cincinatti -6.5
Some teams play better against their division, the Bengals don’t! They are an AFC best 9-2-1 At the spread against non-divisional opponents since the start of the 2015 season. The Bengals have been very slow out of the gate this year and this game is all of a sudden a must win. It’s their second consecutive game at home which we like and we also like their defence that has only been ok so far in 2016 to do work on Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill.
The Dolphins season was one Cleveland field-goal away from being over last Sunday and we haven’t seen anything to suggest they can bridge the large power rating gap between them and the Bengals if both teams play to their best.
Suggested bet: Cincinatti -6.5 @ $1.92 (Various)
Confidence level: 70%
