2016 NFL Week 10 Betting Tips

Carolina Panthers v Kansas City Chiefs

Welcome back to another BetKing NFL betting preview. Week 9 was a frustrating one for us as we went 1-1-1 in a tricky week. That takes our season total to 16-10-1.

With New England on a bye week there was not anything in Week 9 that makes us change our view on the Super Bowl winner. Pittsburgh once again put in a really weak performance and are sliding down our power rankings tree. Dallas on the other hand, confirmed that they are shaping up to be legitimate contenders with a professional performance on the road. The Seahawks just snuck past the Bills and the Packers dropped a game at home to the Colts.

Time to jump into the best value on the early board for Week 10.

Cincinnati at New York Giants

There looks to be a nice bet in this weeks Monday Night game as the New York Giants host the Bengals, hoping to make it four straight wins and take a strangle hold on the currently up for grabs NFC wildcard spot. They are coming off a tough home win against the Eagles in which they were able to force some crucial turnovers. Although all of their wins have been in close games, all of their losses have as well, that indicates they are actually a very competitive team in a wide open NFL. The Bengals are coming off a bye week which they really needed with their season basically on the line this week in New York.

Both the Giants and Bengals have struggled to run the ball in 2016 although the Bengals are yet to beat a team above .500 and do not look like the rampaging AFC unit that played so well last year. Our ratings indicate the Giants are a 2.5 points better than the Bengals at this stage of the season. We’ll add in 2.5 points for the home field and come to the conclusion this line is just too low!

Kansas City at Carolina

Kansas City continued their march towards Super Bowl contention with a win at home over the Jags. The Panthers were able to get their season back on track in a low scoring defensive battle in Los Angeles. Both of those games, from a form perspective, look rather hollow though and we don’t want to overreact to a couple of soft wins.

Our ratings have the Chiefs two points ahead of the Panthers. Even conceding a three-point home field advantage to the Panthers here the line is still out. Take the points now as we expect this line will move to 2.5 and the field-goal insurance is very helpful as we found out last week with our bet on the Rams at plus 3.

TIP: Kansas City +3.5 – $1.86 at CrownBet
Confidence level: 75%

Green Bay at Tennessee

Are the Green Bay Packers 5.5 points better than any team in the NFL outside of the Browns and 49ers? The answer is probably no, and we are confident that they are not 5.5 points better than the Titans right now, that is basically what the line is inferring at present. Both teams have won four games and both teams have beaten the Lions and Jags but the form is rather weak as a whole.

One of the reasons for the line is no doubt the fact that the Green Bay defence ranks number one against the running game in 2016 and the running game is without doubt, the strength of the Tennessee Titans. However, it appears that fact has been heavily overrated in the bookmakers line. We think this game should be close to a pick’em and are happy taking the start with the Titans.

TIP: Tennessee +2.5 – $1.88 at CrownBet

Confidence level: 75%
