Collingwood vs Richmond (Friday, April 1)

This Friday night sees a massive clash at the MCG between the Collingwood Magpies and the Richmond Tigers. There isn’t too much to say about Collingwood, except that things can’t get any worse. They are coming off an embarrassing defeat during Round 1 and the news only gets worse as Steele Sidebottom and Dane Swan will be missing this game. Fortunately for the Pies, Richmond’s list is still struggling, with Brett Deledio headlining several big outs. You just have to think the Pies would bounce back after last week. They won’t necessarily win this one, but with Richmond having some big outs, I think they can keep it close.

Tip: Richmond Under 39.5 points – $2.20 at CrownBet

Adelaide vs Port Adelaide (Saturday, April 2

There aren’t games much bigger than a showdown and this Saturday will be no different as the Crows take on the Power at Adelaide Oval. We are going to find out a lot about both of these teams. The Crows are coming off a tough loss to the Roos last week, while the Power got the job done against the Saints. The Power were sloppy at times during Round 1, but showed their class when guys like Robbie Gray tore it apart. The Crows will be desperate to get their first win, but may ultimately find it too tough in what will be a close game. I just don’t think they can stop the Power’s quick goal kicking players, especially if Charlie Dixon also steps up and kicks a few.

Tip: Port Adelaide Under 39.5 – $2.15 at CrownBet

GWS Giants vs Geelong (Sunday, April 3)

Geelong were a surprise packet last week as they managed a big Easter Monday victory against the mighty Hawks. Patrick Dangerfield starred in that game and everything went absolutely perfect. If they play like that every week, their opponents will struggle. They will, however, be coming into this game with a shorter break than the Giants and will have to travel to Manuka Oval. The Giants have an elite midfield and we think they show a bit of a value at the line. Certainly going to be a tough game, but don’t be surprised if they learn a lot from the Hawks game and if they can stop some of Dangerfield’s influence, the Giants are a chance.

Tip: GWS at the line (+15.5) – $1.92 at CrownBet
