NBA betting tips

A disappointing few NBA betting columns as the results haven’t fallen our way and our blistering start to the season has slowed down. Today, however, we plan on getting back on the green side of the ledger and building on the season record.

We are still at a solid 19-13 with the winners coming at average odds of $1.92.

Onto our 2016-17 NBA betting tips for Tuesday, November 29th!

Charlotte Hornets @ Memphis Grizzlies

Memphis are doing Memphis things and grinding out victories consistently. They sit 11-6 and today host one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference. The Hornets started hot but have dropped four of their last five to sit 9-7 and 6th in the East.

Most notably the Grizzlies will again be without Zach Randolph (third straight game) who has taken some time off following the death of his mother. JaMychal Green is the main beneficiary in terms of minutes and opportunities. He looks a lock for around 30 minutes and his price on player props although eroding is still over.

TIP: JaMychal Green OVER 9.5 points @ $1.70 CrownBet
Confidence level: 80%

**Also consider taking him over 7 rebounds. Only early foul trouble will stop him clearing at least one of those lines.

Boston Celtics @ Miami Heat

One of the hardest lines for bookmakers to set is the lines when a team is missing a good chunk of the guys that play regular minutes. Linemakers essentially have no sample size on the new players playing together and have to take a sort of educated guess. The Miami Heat are banged up. Dion Waters and Tyler Johnson are already ruled out and Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic are listed as questionable.

To make matters worse for the Heat, they are 5-11 on the season and struggling mightily. After a slow start the Celtics are starting to get things rolling and fulfill some of the promise of the preseason. No Al Horford today will actually mean they get to go back to some of the baskteball they played last year and on our numbers they are only marginally worse without him. They should comfortably account for the Heat today and if one of Whiteside or Dragic can’t go, it’s an even bigger bonus!

TIP: Boston Celtics -4.5 @ $1.95 Sportsbet
Confidence level: 80%

Atlanta Hawks @ Golden State Warriors

After a sluggish start the Warriors have won 11 games straight and at times looked unbeatable. Kevin Durant is probably having the best season out of any of the big four and has settled in beautifully. Tonight Draymond Green is listed as a game-time decision with a sore ankle and we wouldn’t be surprised if he sits out so the spread of 14.5 is a little steep to chase.

One line we love though is the rebounds prop on Hawks big man Dwight Howard. It’s set at 13 despite Dwight only clearing that line five times in his last 13 games. The school of thought is the Warriors play fast and shoot a lot so their is more rebounds to be had (especially against the smaller Warriors centres) however by shooting a lot of long jump-shots the Warriors create a lot of long rebounds to guards and wing players. The line is three points too high especially with the chance Dwight comes out early if the blowout is on.

TIP: Dwight Howard UNDER 13 rebounds @ $1.87 Sportsbet
Confidence level: 75%
