2016-17 NBA Betting Tips – Thursday, November 17th

November 16, 2016 by Posted in Betting Tips, NBA Tips

Welcome back NBA punters to another BetKing NBA betting preview. We went 3-1 yesterday with the only blemish on the record the points total in the Cavaliers and Toronto game that turned into a genuine shoot-out. That took our season total to 13 wins and 5 losses with the wins coming at average odds of $1.89.

Our best for Thursday the 17th of November (AEDT) listed below!

Washington Wizards at Philadelphia 76ers (11am)
This is a tricky one with some doubt around John Wall and Bradley Beal, but we are confident at least one of them will play and the Wizards seem to be undervalued in the current market. The Wizards have started the season poorly but have played some good teams (losses to the likes of Houston, Chicago, Cleveland, Boston and Toronto). They are better than what they’ve shown on raw talent alone and should be able to turn it around and go on a run now that their schedule has opened up a touch. They really should win three of their next four and get back on the path to .500. The key is ball movement, their is no reason a team lead by John Wall should rank 26th in the league for assists.

The 76ers are improving with each game but have only won once this season (OT win against Indy) and on most nights should be comfortable underdogs especially when facing a team coming off a four-day break. The 76ers rank 27th in points scored per game, 26th in points conceded and they still might be the worst team in the NBA.

TIP: Washington Wizards H2H – $1.87 at Sportsbet
Confidence level: 75%

Milwaukee Bucks at Atlanta Hawks (11.30am)
Talent wise, Milwaukee are one of the most underrated teams in the East and after starting the season 5-4 they look like they finally might fulfil some of that promise. Aussie Matthew Dellevadova has been a great addition to Jason Kidd’s team and they are well rested having not played for four straight days. They rank 5th for assists per game in the league and 12th for rebounding thanks to their guards and wing players which is indicative of the Jason Kidd impact.

Atlanta limped across the line against Miami last night despite losing Dwight Howard to a thigh injury in the third quarter. That alone should be a red-flag on the Hawks. This spread looks three points too high regardless as there isn’t that much between the Hawks and the Bucks.

TIP: Milwaukee Bucks +8 – $1.85 at Ladbrokes
Confidence level: 75%

Houston Rockets at Oklahoma City Thunder (12pm)
The Thunder started the season hot but are now on a very worrying slide with losses coming against the Clippers, Magic, Raptors and Pistons all on the trot. They lack shooting and if Russell Westbrook doesn’t play incredibly efficiently how can they beat good teams? They are currently scoring the 18th most points per game in the league while conceding the 15th most. Hardly a playoff recipe!

Houston is starting to play well under D’Antoni’s scheme and sit 6-4 with losses coming against quality teams like the Hawks, Cavs and Spurs. James Harden is playing like an MVP candidate averaging 28.8 points per game, 12.8 assists per game and 9 rebounds per game. He returns to his former team Oklahoma City for the first time since Kevin Durant’s departure and will be eager to send a message to the Thunder front office.

TIP: Houston Rockets H2H – $1.94 at Sportsbet
Confidence level: 75%
