2016-17 NBA Betting Tips – Thursday, November 10th
Welcome back to another BetKing NBA betting preview. We went 2-2 on last weeks tips to take the season tally to 8 wins and 3 losses. The winners have been at average odds of $1.92.
Our best value bets for Thursday the 10th November (AEDT) listed below.
Minnesota at Orlando (11am AEDT)
We start off with a player prop that meets a few key criteria and appears to be four points too high. Karl-Anthony Towns is a great young talent and one of the future superstars of the NBA. However, this time around we are interested in the UNDER on his points total. Here is why: Orlando has defended opposition bigs pretty well this season (DeMarcus Cousins aside) because they have Serge Ibaka, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic inside protecting the paint. With Victor Oladipo moving to OKC their weakness defensively lies on the perimeter. Secondly, Towns is on the second night of a back-to-back and is currently without his point guard in Ricky Rubio. We expect Orlando plays slow and physical against the young Wolves and we have projected Towns to have 18 points.
TIP: Karl-Anthony Towns UNDER 22 points – $1.87 at Sportsbet

Portland at Los Angeles (2.30pm AEDT)
Both teams come in close to full fitness outside of Al-Farouq Aminu who appears likely to miss for the Blazers. The Clippers are 6-1 and have had three blowout wins including the victory over Detroit a few nights ago. They are one of the hype teams of the NBA despite some inconsistent play from Blake Griffin. The Blazers snuck past the Suns last night to make it three wins in a row and arrive in Los Angeles with a 5-3 record. They’ve scored above 100 in all of their games this year (including losses) and once again they are a great team to watch. This line looks to be three points too high with the slick early start for the Clippers being factored in too much.
TIP: Portland +9.5 – $1.95 at Sportsbet
Confidence level: 75%
Houston at San Antonio (1.30pm AEDT)
James Harden is one of the hottest players in the NBA right now after starting the season in outrageous fashion filling the stat sheet up at will every night. However, he faces a familiar foe in the San Antonio Spurs on the road who have been able to restrict him more than most in recent times. In fact, last season, Harden averaged the second least amount of points among all teams in the NBA at just 21 against the Spurs. He averaged 21 the season before against the Spurs too. That’s a sample of eight games and while not super compelling it certainly indicates the defensive prowess of the Spurs as a team and of course what Kawhi Leonard can do to players when he is locked in. This line feels a few points too high and worth playing!
TIP: James Harden UNDER 28.5 points – $1.87 at Sportsbet
Confidence level: 75%
