Arsenal face Chelsea in the final of the Emirates FA Cup with both teams on the verge of contrasting fortunes. Chelsea who are already crowned Premier League Champions would be looking to do a double while Arsenal will look to get over the disappointment of missing the Champions League qualification. The final will take place at the Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday, May 27th.

Last match as Gunners’ coach for Wenger?
For the first time in 20 years, Arsenal failed to secure Champions League qualification. There are rumors abound on Arsene Wenger’s future with even the supporters baying for a change at the helm. There is no doubt that it has been a gloomy season around the Emirates and Wenger needs to win the FA Cup to assuage some of the hurt pride.

There are doubts over the futures of star players like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez too, which puts a question mark on the team’s preparations for this big game. Wenger has many worries on the selection front as well with injuries and suspensions hampering his choices.

Laurent Koscielny will serve a three-match ban after his red card against Everton while Gabriel is out with an injury. Shkodran Mustafi is a major doubt as well leaving Wenger toothless in defence.

Blues on the rise
On the contrary, it is all rosy for Antonio Conte and Stamford Bridge. Having already won the League title, Chelsea would be eager to do the double and will be confident of doing so.

The confidence stems not just from the misfortune of Arsenal and their injury worries but also from the fact that they won a record 30 games in the just concluded Premier League season.

Conte has a fit squad at his disposal and will go for a double in his first season in England. Some players’ careers are on the line too – John Terry is moving out in the summer while Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas face uncertain summer. Such is the stability at the club though, that the preparations are unscathed.

History and stats
Arsenal won FA Cup a record 12 times with the last victory coming in 2015. In total, they have made 19 final appearances.

Chelsea too have had good success in the competition having won the title seven times and reaching the final 11 times. Their last win came in 2012.
Across competitions, the two sides have played each other 189 times with Arsenal leading the wins 73-62. In FA Cup, the record stands 8-5 in favor of Arsenal including the 2001-02 final that they won 2-0.

Chelsea start favorites and at odds of 1.83 (Ladbrokes) a pick on their win is a worthy one. A punt of Draw/Chelsea on Half time/Full time at odds of 4.75 (William Hill) looks even more lucrative.

TIP: HT/FT Draw/Chelsea – $4.75 at William Hill

This could be Costa’s last game for the Blues and Arsenal have always been his favorite opposition. Back him to score anytime at odds of 1.95 (William Hill).

TIP: Costa to score anytime – $1.95 at William Hill
