2016-17 A-league Round 6 Betting Multi
The 2016-17 A-league season continues this weekend and after going 2/4 last week we look to improve with our predictions for Round 6 A-league action.
To kick things off we will be backing Melbourne City to earn the victory at home against the Newcastle Jets. City are coming off a loss against Brisbane Roar last week and it was the first game this season the side has been kept scoreless. They clearly missed socceroo Tim Cahill but he will make his return this weekend in a massive boost for the side. It will take the pressure off fellow striker Bruno Fornaroli whilst creating more space for him to work and keeping the oppostiion defence in two minds. The Jets will enter the match after a loss themselves as they were the first side to not earn the maximum points against Wellington Phoenix this season. They were outplayed and outclassed and created very few opportunities. They won’t turn things around this Thursday night.
In the Friday night match up we will be taking the Brisbane Roar to defeat Adelaide United on the road. The Reds suffered an embarrassing loss on home soil to the Central Coast Mariners last week and we can’t see them turning things around. The side has lost all of its key players from last season and the players they recruited clearly aren’t up to standard yet and they haven’t been able to have a positive impact. Meanwhile the Roar were able to hold on for a narrow victory against Melbourne City and even more importantly they were able to keep a clean sheet. They have had a lot of inconsistent performances this season but we believe they will be too strong in this one.
In our third leg we will be predicting Melbourne Victory to earn the three points against Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday night. The Victory were unlucky to not upset Sydney FC last week as they took a 1-0 lead into half time. However, it is a huge improvement on the rest of their matches this year and they began to look like the side that dominanted the competition in the 2014-15 season. There are a lot of expectations on their shoulders and they will be able to show their talent this weekend against a Wanderers outfit that is struggling defensively.
To wrap up our multi we will be continuing to stay on the Sydney FC bandwagon and predict them to defeat Perth Glory on Sunday night. The Sky Blues conceded their first goal of the season last week but they were still able to overcome the deficit to earn the win and remain perfect for the season. The Glory earned a hard-fought draw on their home soil but face a very tough road trip to the other side of Australia. The Glory are capable of producing but they won’t be able to crack the structured defence of the Sky Blues.
