2016-17 A-league Round 5 Betting Multi
We narrowly missed out on a big payday last week as the shortest priced leg of our multi failed with the Wanderers being unable to defeat the Mariners. We return to go one better this week with our A-league betting multi.
To kick things off we will be backing Brisbane Roar and Melbourne City to play out a draw. The Roar were able to return to winning ways on the weekend as they snatched a late winner against Perth Glory. It was a big win for the side as a draw would have left them in the bottom half of the table while the win will boost their confidence. Their striker Jamie MaClaren has been rewarded for his great performances as he has been selected to join the Socceroos squad. He will be replacing the injured Tim Cahill who is likely to be unavailable for Melbourne City. He will be a huge loss but luckily for the side they have a lot of depth in the attacking area and we will be predicting them to do enough to split the points.
In the second leg of our multi we believe the Wellington Phoenix will be able to turn their disastrous season around and earn a win over the Newcastle Jets. The Phoenix reached a new low on the weekend by suffering a 6-1 defeat on the road against the Victory and it wasn’t helped by the fact they were reduced to 10-men. In one positive for the side they were able to score their first goal of the season. The Jets have been competitive this season and they suffered their only loss of the season on the weekend against a strong Sydney FC outfit. However, the road trip will be too much along with the fact Phoenix are due to get off and running.
In our third leg we will be backing Sydney FC to continue their dominance against the league and defeat Melbourne Victory in the big blue on their home soil. The Sky Blues have the best defence and offence in the competition at the moment as they have scored the most goals (11) whilst they are yet to conced a goal. It is a remarkable effort to be so strong on both sides of the field and it is largely due to the fact the side is very structured. Victory earned a huge 6-1 win on Monday night but the short turnaround along with the fact that the Phoenix were their own worst enemies will lead to Sydney FC winning this match in style.
In our final leg we will be predicting Perth Glory to win at home against the Western Sydney Wanderers. Both of these sides enter this match on the back of disappointing performances. The Wanderers should have earned the maximum against the Central Coast Mariners while Perth Glory dropped a competition point late against Brisbane Roar. The Glory have shown they have fire power to score goals and we believe they will be too strong for the Wanderers defence.
