2016-17 A-league Round 4 Betting Multi
The 2016-17 A-league season continues this weekend and last week we were incredibly unlucky to miss out on a $756 payday as Melbourne City let us down
To kick our week 4 A-league multi off we will be predicting Melbourne City to bounce back and defeat Adelaide United. City were looking as if they were a dominant force after their opening two games – especially their 4-1 win against crosstown rivals Victory. However, the side lost 3-2 to the Glory and it was largely due to their defensive troubles. They were always going to struggle in that area this year and it will still be their aim to score more goals than their opponents rather than to be a strong defensive side. They will be backing up after an FFA Cup game just two-days earlier. The Reds are winless this season and will continue to struggle due to their squad changing drastically from last season.
The Sky Blues have had a dream start to the competition and are sitting alone on the top of the ladder. They have scored nine goals in their three victories and are yet to concede a goal. It is an impressive feat that they will want to continue into this weekends match and in their minds they will be facing the perfect opponent. Sydney FC have a dominant record against the Jets and despite the Newcastle side being without a loss this season they have been lucky to remain that way. They came from behind against the Wanderers on the weekend in the final 10-minutes but we can’t see them pulling off a miracle like that two weeks in a row and we are predicting the Sky Blues to earn a comfortable win and remain in first position.
In our third leg we will be backing the short priced favourites the Wanderers to earn a victory over the Central Coast Mariners. The Wanderers have the home field advantage and they will be itching to get back onto the field after blowing a 2-0 lead in the final 10-mintes on Sunday. It was an embarrassing way to draw a match and it ultimately cost the side two-competition points. They will be a lot more switched on in the dying stages this weekend. The Mariners are a young and inexperienced side and will struggle throughout the entire season. They didn’t manage a shot on target against the Roar and that is a horrible statistic to have.
In the final leg of our multi we are predicting Melbourne Victory to earn back-to-back wins and earn the three points against Wellington Phoenix. The Victory were able to grab their first win of the season on the weekend as they overcame the Reds on the road but it wasn’t a convincing win but nevertheless it was a confidence builder for the side. They played midweek in a loss to City in the FFA Cup but the team will get plenty of rest before their clash on Sunday night. Meanwhile the Phoenix are on the bottom of the table and are the only side without a competition point. They were predicted to have one of the best attacking sides in the competition but they haven’t found the back of the net once – it won’t be long until this changes as they have too much talent but the road trip to Melbourne will be too much for them to overcome.
