2016-17 A-league Round 3 Betting Multi
The 2016-17 A-league season continues this weekend and we have our preview of four matches with betting tips to make our multi of the week for round 3.
In our first leg we will be predicting Melbourne City to come out on top against Perth Glory. Tim Cahill made his debut a memorable one as he scored a goal that everyone would be proud of and a lot of players would be too scared to even think about attempting it. The other City forwards got in on the act throughout the match as they showed why they are regarded as having one of the best attacking sides the A-league has ever seen. The Glory were able to earn a 2-0 victory against the Phoenix on home soil in a match that was very even in the first half. The toll of travelling clearly had an impact on Wellington in the second 45-minutes and the Glory were able to take advantage. They will be a challenge for City this weekend but the attack of the home side will see them take the three points.
The Mariners and Roar both suffered humiliating defeats last week as they left the fields having 4 goals scored against them whilst they didn’t find the back of the net themselves. The Mariners loss was expected but nearly everyone was shocked by the Roar losing and by such a large margin. We are predicting the Roar to bounce back this weekend whilst the Mariners can expect those score lines put on them on a regular basis. They have a very inexperienced side and they aren’t much better than last year. Meanwhile the Roar are a strong team and will improve with Matt McKay back in the side.
In our third leg we will be taking the Melbourne Victory to bounce back from a disappointing loss against crosstown rivals City to defeat Adelaide United on the road. The Victory were outclassed by City but they did show glimpses of the side that has a lot of expectations on their shoulders. Marco Rojas scored a brilliant solo goal and he will continue to improve with more games and fitness under his belt. Meanwhile the Reds are a completely different side to the one that lifted the premiership last year and they showed that on the weekend as they let a 1-0 lead slip to fall to the Wanderers on home soil. They let a lot of their best players leave during the offseason and it will take them a while to become competitive this season.
In our final leg we will be jumping on the Sydney FC bandwagon and predicting them to earn the victory against the Wellington Phoenix. The Sky Blues have started their season with two 4-0 wins and they are sitting on the top of the table. They have a lot of confidence and are scoring goals and creating chances almost at will whilst keeping two clean sheets is also impressive. They are up against the Phoenix who are yet to earn a competition point and we are predicting the side to struggle this weekend after travelling back from Western Australia after a tough match against the Perth Glory.
