A disappointing outing last week saw us only hit 2 legs from our weekly 4 leg multi, meaning that we couldn’t even get our money refunded with the Sportsbet/CrownBet promo. We’ll be hoping to go at least one better this week as we present our Multi of the Week for Round 21 of the 2016-17 A-League Season.

For leg one we’ll be taking the Brisbane Roar to get it done over Wellington at home on Saturday afternoon. Although they’ve drawn their last three games, the Roar have been playing some good football of late and have been in winning positions in all three games. They come up against a Wellington team that’s well and truly in a form slump, losing their last 3 including a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Melbourne City last week. Brisbane should have too much firepower for Wellington, who have only managed 3 goals in the last 3 games.

Leg two of our multi will feature last year’s Champions, Adelaide United travelling East to take on Melbourne Victory. The Victory put the Mariners to the sword last week and seem to have found some form after a mid-season slump of sorts. Adelaide on the other hand are the worst team in the competition. Their 16 goals on the season so far is the worst in the league by a factor of 7 and they’ll have some real trouble finding the back of the net against a Victory side that has only allowed 1 goal in their last 3 matches.

Perth Glory take on team of the week in the Western Sydney Wanderers in the late late game of the Saturday triple header. It’s offence vs defence here as Perth have been one of the highest scoring teams in the league while Western Sydney have been one of the most stringent. With Perth having the home field advantage and the Wanderers having played mid-week in the AFC before travelling cross country, we think the Glory should have the legs here.

The final match of our multi sees two really struggling teams desperate for a win. Newcastle and Central Coast are both on the outside looking into the top six and could use three points desperately. The problem is, however, that their last 5 matchups in Newcastle have endd in a draw, and we expect it to happen again here as both teams have had some real issues scoring goals this year.
