2016-17 A-League Round 17 Betting Multi
We are back with another BetKing Multi for Round 17 of the 2016-17 A-League Season. We’ll be looking to go one better this week as we preview the top 4 betting games of the A-League weekend below. We are steering clear of what is arguably the game of the round in Melbourne Victory vs Sydney FC as it will be a hotly contested clash where I think all 3 results are in play.
Our 1st leg is Melbourne City to defeat the Jets. The Jets have been playing poor football of late, only winning one of their last seven matches. Even though they have the home field advantage in this one, I think Melbourne City, who have been scoring goals for fun lately, should have too much power for the inconsistent Newcastle defence. With the dynamic duo of Bruno Fornaroli and Tim Cahill, who have scored 3 goals between them in the last two matches, they should be a class above.
In leg 2 of out multi we’ll be taking the the draw in the Central Coast vs Perth game. As Melbourne vs Sydney, has been ruled out this week, we are forced to take the other four games, and this is another one that I don’t really fancy in the slightest. Sure, the Mariners are on the bottom of the table and have a -17-goal difference. I just think with the home field advantage and the inevitable form swing that has to come sooner or later bodes well for the Mariners in this one. Hopefully we get a defensive contest that results in a low scoring draw.
We will be taking the Western Sydney Wanderers to beat the Brisbane Roar in leg 3 of out multi. The Wanderers have had a few confidences boosting games the last two weeks with a classy win over Newcastle last week and a gutsy draw against Sydney FC the week before. Their 3-9-4 record definietely doesn’t do them justice and I think they have been unlucky not to come away with wins in at least 2 or 3 of those draws. I’m backing their luck to turn in this one and claim an away win in Brisbane.
Another tough game to pick in leg 4 of out multi. While Adelaide are 2nd last on the table and haven’t looked convincing at all this season, they do have the advantage of being at home to a Wellington team that hasn’t left New Zealand in 3 weeks. The travel for the Phoenix could be a massive issue, but the class of Krishna, Barbarouses, Finkler and co. should be enough to get them over the line.
