2016-17 A-league Round 12 Betting Multi
The 2016-17 A-league season continues this weekend and we narrowly missed out on a huge payday last week as just one leg cost us $2,471!
This weekend we will kick things off with the Friday night match up between the Brisbane Roar and Western Sydney Wanderers. The Roar have been flying under the radar this season and find themselves in equal second position on the ladder. They did it the hard way against the lowly Central Coast Mariners as they went into cruise control after hitting the lead. The side has been finding way to get results without putting in good performances but at the end of the day they will take the three competition points regardless of how they are acquired. The Wanderers dropped competition points on the weekend as they headed into halftime with a 2-0 lead over the Phoenix on the road. They were forced to settle for a draw and it will be hard for them to turn that around mentally in the space of a week, especially on the road.
In the next leg of our multi we will be jumping on the Jets bandwagon. No, we don’t actually think they are contended but the tam has found some form and they are welcoming players back from injury every week. The side has won two games in a row and we believe they will make it three in a row against the Phoenix who are struggling for consistency. They were able to put together a great second half performance against the Wanderers that saw them pick up a draw but we don’t think they will bring their best on the road. The team did acquire Shane Smeltz midweek but he is a shadow of his former self.
We are predicting Sydney FC to defeat Adelaide United in convincing fashion on Monday night. The Sky Blues have returned to their best in recent weeks and their 4-1 annihilation of the Glory in Perth was a testament to that. The side is undefeated for the season and they will be celebrating retaining coach Graham Arnold for an additional two years after he put pen to paper throughout the week. The side has the best defence in the league and is structured well all across the park and if they can maintain their strong attack they will be nearly impossible to defeat. Meanwhile they are up against the cellar dwellers the Reds and it won’t be a contest for them. This match could easily turn ugly if the Sky Blues keep their foot down.
In our final leg we will be backing Melbourne Victory to defeat Central Coast Mariners. This should wrap up our multi with a lot of ease as Victory have returned to their best form while the Mariners clearly have a few years before their players can be consistent in the A-league. The Mariners put up a fight against the Roar on the weekend but they were clearly outclassed throughout the match. Meanwhile the Victory grabbed a late winner against their crosstown rivals City to move into second position on the ladder. If we are able to get our first three legs correct then we will be counting our money before this game.
